The vibes never stop vibing, which is why I always love this channel! Also, this is not a bad price for such a unit when one knows the ins and outs of all the functions. Thank you for another musicational breakdown, King Yaahn! 🎶🎵👑✊🏿🙌🏿
Great and well-balanced review. This was the perfect level of detail and focus for me, especially the little (but important) things like the play controls. And awesome demo too!
Love the video and the vibes you make! Just unboxed mine a few days ago. I have an Arturia Keylab 88 MK2 and it was hard for me to really figure out all of the functionality. Took me out of the creative flow A LOT and the keys on that board a on the heavy side. The LK 49 MK4 is much simpler and allowed me to create and stay in flow much more effectively. I love that the pads are automatically aligned to the drum map in Ableton, although I wish the mapping was more linear versus how they have it laid out. Only thing it’s missing for me so far is a tap temple button.
Nice review! What's in your opinion the best midi controller (49/61) keybed wise? Of course knowing it's not going to feel like a real piano, just for the sake of having something good in a secondary keyboard for DAW usage. Thanks!
I can almost see just by looking at the board itself that the keybed feels incredible. All this is telling me that I need to hurry up and get ableton for myself lol. Because the integration is elite (plus with what I do, ableton would actually just be better lol) Also I see you with the Moog in the back 👀Great vid bro!
Wow this is great all the new additions Thank you Yaahn jr I have an old Launch key but this new one is brilliant.I love the new features I must add your musique is just equisite its lovely. Thank you for the review.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
thank you for the video, great content if you had to choose between novation mk4 61 and NI S61 mk3 which one would you pick? and does the s61 worth the diffrence ? thanks
@@flowgoi1741 I also had that question! Can't really find the LK49 mk4 in Brazil rn, so I'm between getting the essential rn or wait a few months for the LK (if it ever gets here)
I'm looking to invest in a new MIDI keyboard with 61 keys and have narrowed it down to three options: the Novation Launchkey MK4, the Nektar LX61+, and the Arturia KeyLab Essential. Could you share your experiences with these models? Which one do you think would be the best choice? Additionally, do you have any other keyboard recommendations I should consider? Thanks!
Hi!I make Hip Hop music,i have an old Akai mpk49 that i so much hate because of the hard key feeling.I'm thinking to buy this Mk4 ,or Mk3,or M audio Oxygen Pro 49,or maybe an NI Komplete Kontrol S49 Mk1.I use Pro Tools and Logic.I tried MK3,and Oxygen pro(what is very same look a like this Mk4),and i liked MK3 keys better. What do you think,MK4 and Oxygen pro has the same keys? What is your opinion?Or do you recommend any other "real piano key" feeling midi keyboard in this price range?
The 37 is still the GOAT tbh... I don't have the mini but my bro Taetro did a dope vid on it here: ruclips.net/video/1IJP1JM6k2g/видео.htmlsi=eRWGfYc42hhbNMSe
I was hoping for MPE and Midi 2.0 features, like the Korg KeyStage, or the big display and polyphonic aftertouch of the NI Kontrol S series…..but alas…..nope. Of course it has a lower price.
@BenIsJammin634 right. I didn't see how he got to the split mode in the DAW using the LaunchKey. I can do split mode in FL Studio, but this seems like one two and done. I love split mode on analog gear and I'm curious about it using the controller.
Yes, I was able to split a bass patch and a keyboard patch in Ableton. The MK4 will allow you to set the keyboard split range and use 2 different ports for MIDI

Always great to see a pianist demo the gear
My guy, you are talented. Tons of respect. I hope that your career flourishes. Be well.
This got to be one of the best demos on a MIDI controller I’ve seen & heard! Thank you 🙏🏾

I'm a bit biased since I use Ableton so I'll go with the MK4. Ableton
@@Yhuntermusic thank you man, and between mk4 and oxygen pro ? still mk4 ?
I’m definitely looking to get this bro! Thanks for the video! ✊🏾
All good my guy!
My question is will they have an 88 key?🤔 dope vibe as always 👊🏾🔥🔥🔥
learned so much thank you. a whole vibe
My pleasure and thanks for tuning in!
This one vs the keylab essential for keys only?

As a controller for the Novation Peak?

Basically it’s an M-Audio Oxygen Pro
I Like the mk3 a lil better but that new screen is live
Not enough here to warrant an upgrade . Let us know when they build an actual sequencer.
Split mode?
Think he had 2 instruments on both halves of the board. He layed in the bass along with the cords.
Bass and chords at the same time*
