Nice work! I had a 1988 Honda 300 FOURTRAX 4X4 for 20 years. I never had to adjust the clutch once. I bought new with a snow plow for $4,000.00. I sold it after 20 years for $2,000.00 on eBay. My feedback was better than described by the buyer. Nice work on your part. I see you have universal knowledge, and it looks like it comes naturally. All you need is a visual understanding and you got it. Congratulations!
Hey I have a bike 250 TRX I think with the same engine and I got worked on it for me put a new cab and he said he got a runnin A couple minutes jumped time and started sucking air through the exhaust and spit and fill out the carburetor how do you fix that
Good video! My only question is on my recon motor I’ve spent a couple hours just trying to get the clutch cover put back on no idea what is holding it up
oh man. Ok, that could be a couple things. Usually the crankshaft where it meets the bearing inside the case tends to give a little trouble. Im buildig a 250 ex right now to sell an that right threre held me up a little. Just will have to slide the case in place and find around where the pressure is pushing back against you. Youll beable to get an idea on whats going on.
I need help with my 08 Honda recon. Looking for the relief valve on the front crank case cover. Any help would be much appreciated. I drained the oil and removed case cover to clean the centerfugal oil filter. Put it all back together, refilled oil and now I have an engine knock coming front front crank case. I checked the valves, they are to spec .005
When replacing the clutch pack are the clutches loose in the pack? I have a 14 recon I'm doing a clutch in right now and its all back together but I cannot get the clutch to adjust properly and it slips really bad even in 1st gear. Any help would be greatly appreciated and awesome content!
All about what you prefer. A small CC bike like this that dont need a very high demand oil, you can run what you parts store has. Make sure its for wet clutch, i tend to run allot of Valvoline ATV oil and never had issues. Goes by as well on how often the machine is serviced.

Check valve adjustment and always start with a new spark plug

Me too. What did you end up doing to get the clutch plates tight?
I have a 250tm Honda recon clutch is slipping bad which clutch do I change?
Thank you
sorry for the late reply. That depends, usually its the centrifugal clutch that gives issues. If you do a clutch job, best to do both
Lawd Ya'll!! I was fat as a sum B?tch in this video!!!
i have a problem. I checked my timing and it is on the 250 and T, but my intake valve is hitting my piston. What is the problem?
there is a couple different marks on the cam. If its not on the right mark for the 250, itll set the timing off and cause that issue

What is the best motor oil for a 250
