In this video I give you my three year review of the MSR Pocket Rocket 2 backpacking stove where I show you the pros and cons of using a canister stove like this compared to a couple other models from Jetboil and other competing brands.

Pocket rocket 2 here never let me down
I just ordered one today, and that is what led me to your channel. I wanted to see what others thought that had used it. The one I am using now is unbranded, but I really have had nothing, but good use out of it. I just wanted to upgrade, and went with this one. I don't think I will be sorry. Good video. Right to the point. I think I'll subscribe. Have a good one.
i need that bic lighter review video
Lol that 10 dollar stove is identical to ozark trail one. I bought the ozark trail as a backup and only bought it for the awesome canister stand and propane adapter. All for 12 bucks.
The pocket rocket plus the cost of most pots costs close to the cost of a jet boil.
👍 I own both an MSR pocket rocket 2 and coleman fyrestorm... I find the pocket rocket is marginally better outdoors, but I find the cup support legs a bit fiddling to get in position, I like the push and twist on the fyrestorm
How much cook time did you get out of the gas cylinders? I pack the biolte campstove 2 plus cause i don't want to pack out a lot of trash as in empty gas cylinders .
I need a really good titanium 800 ml mug/pot. I had the toaks but the handle fell off.
Very nice review.👍
The review was great until you said irregardless lmao
Just bought this stove a couple days ago, it was a toss up between it and the Soto Amicus. When i asked, the guy at REI said he would get the PR2 over the Soto. I used my 20% off so that brought it down to about $35. I'll find a small hex wrench to put in the case in case the screws come loose
Absolutely loooooove this little stove, has kept me eating healthy for the last 6 weeks and combatted the meals eaten out.
My favorite all time stove is the Optimus Polaris. I also have the Optimus Vega and the crux HE cookset . I have the msr pocket rocket deluxe but the piezo ignighter doesn't work every time. I had the msr universal but the plastic pump leaked right out of the box. Customer service sucks. Fist time tech support said just check the seals . it worked for a short time even leaked fuel in the stove and wouldn't shut off. Sent it in they said it would take 4 to 6 weeks and when I had emailed them I got a message that said they were updating the message system and it maybe could 2 weeks or more before they can respond. . that note broke my trust in msr. I called and told them to not bother to fix my stove and just keep it. That I would never buy any more of their stoves. I mentioned the only way I would is when they make their pump metal like optimus and primus. The customer service rep said ,THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. When I heard that I knew I was done with msr. They go on my do not buy list with buck knives.
