I would appreciate gang building video which is specific for this box. The reason - post battle actions. As I understand rules, you can’t get nice shiny things later in campaign, just war gear or weapons with a cost less then 25 credits. You also can’t hire more hangers. And oh boy it changes the way you should build your starting roster!
Also you usually can have 5-6 gangers on the field, so the bigger the roster, the less control you are getting
This box set is the reason I'll be getting into Van Sar later this year xD

Hi guys - rejoined the Hives of Necromunda for the first time in ~4 years after being pulled in by a bunch of your videos. Bought myself the Hive Secundus box to play the campaign with my fiancee and draw her back into Necromunda! ^^
Your deep dives into the different gangs are amazing, and I cannot wait to see more of the gangs shown! My partner would love to see a deep dive so she can best prepare her Skaven Cults (counts-as Genestealer Cults) for an upcoming campaign later this year!

About to start the Secundus campaign after building the models, which are great kits except a few parts being snap prone (3 sprue gates on the Van Saar neck cables is daft compared to the original kits one).
I found the Rule book easier to read and understand than the Hive war book which was written ambiguously. Some sections are clearer, slightly reworded or put in an order that makes more sense. I don't have my 2023 rulebook to hand but I recall that being awful to read and understand at the time, to the point, I used my original 90's rules to "get back into" Necromunda with my nephew. Yes that was a ridiculously fun shoot out.
For now, discussing the genestealers as the "campaign version" should work while discussing the campaign itself
And there is a random loose head just rolling around in the box....so necromunda
So that one is on us - I poked it off the sprue by accident while we prepped for the recording!
@@miniaturesrundown I had the same loose head in mine and I've seen others say it too. Maybe the box packing knocks it off? Damnit I really wanted it to be a random loose head.😒
I really like the softback rulebook, it's really useful compared to the combat brick that is the 2023 core rulebook.
This is true, sometimes you don't need a book that you can put into a burlap sack and commit crimes with. Especially since this one has all the rules (except vehicles)!
I am a newbie in Necromunda and actually would like to see some kind of review on current in box gangs state. Planned to "cut" this box with my friend in order to play campaign with other fellas. Wanted to take Genestealer part of the box, but I am a little confused. Does they count as like a whole gang? I saw several battle reports of scenarios from new book and in each one of them Genestealers were like "arbitrator type of gang", cause nothing is happening to them in post-battle sequence and as I understood you are buying your units immediately before the game for the malstrain points specified in the mission (and also there was some kind of weird random placement of this gang in the center of the game table). Would like to dispel my doubts so thats why I am asking for overview
I have the box:
The genestealers are like a npc faction. They dont have any progression between the missions. The only thing that will change is the number of models they can bring in each game. Only in the last mission one of the genestealers get an upgrade to be more like an final boss. Thats it. They cannot interact with anything between the games. They are just for the campaign master to have units to challange the other player.
That said, there will be a new necromunda book (book of desolation) and this will have more rules for hive secundus campaigns and the complete rules for malestrain faction. They might play different than normal gangs but i guess buying this box will give you the equivalent of a normal gang box so enough for starting a campaign and the extra 3 characters might be usefull for longer campaigns (similar to the normal roster upgrades like the prospect boxes). The book will also contain the rules for spyrer gangs (which will be another fun faction where you need 1 more box to have everything available).

I picked this up and want to get into it, but just find getting started so difficult on what to do. Esp since I’ll be the one to have to try and get friends to play a game or to try and figure out solo play. Wouldn’t mind seeing y’all do a super friendly starting video on gang building
Having the same issue for munda have a local gaming store but they said not enough ppl play so they don't carry necromunda at all just aos and 40k so they told me if I can bring in a few ppl to play they'd consider stocking and playing a campaign
