    To think this man did such a campaign to liberate part of South America just for the people to be free, succeed at it and became one of the most iconic heads of latinoamerican history... All to go downhill
    I don't know if he would be totally disappointed with the actual governments of Colombia and Venezuela (for example) wherever he went, but I'm sure he really would feel sadness just be seeing what became of the people and nations that he care with all his hearth

      I am not sure Bolivar is seen as a hero in all southamerican countries. In Peru particularly he is seen as a controversial figure. Yes, he helped to liberate Peru, along with San Martin who came from the south (and who never wished to rule the country); but he is also remembered for trying to force Peru into a union (Gran Colombia) it did not want. The fact that he wanted to rule as a de facto dictator also bursts that bubble of 'doing it all of the people', there was clearly a lust of power as well. Saludos compadres.

    Vamos a unir el cantar
    Pa' cantarle a Venezuela
    La tierra que pare Machos
    Y no se dan donde quiera
    De esos que arriesgan la vida
    Cuando toca defenderla.
    Como lo hizo Bolívar
    El que libertador fuera
    Que luchó a capa y espada
    Por defender Nuestra tierra
    Nosotros que no podemos
    Hacerlo como él hiciera
    Vamos a hacerlo cantando
    Pero con voz altanera
    Que retumbe en los caminos
    Que recorran las fronteras
    Para mantener en alto
    Y fijar nuestra Bandera
    Ya que desde muy pequeño
    Nos recorre por las venas
    Amar querer y sentir

      Si de verdad queremos dejar de repetir los mismos errores por prepotentes y soberbios, nos debemos a nosotros mismos y a las futuras generaciones comenzar a admitir que eso de justificar nuestra situación actual por las acciones de otros es de cobardes.

      As a Colombian, not as a musician, I think that the first part "velo qué bonito" would correspond with the musical genre "cumbia" Which is predominantly from Colombia an mixes African/indigenous music, the second one reír llorando would be a "pasillo", it corresponds geographically to Ecuador/Colombia and finally the third one would correspond to the musical genre "joropo" a kind of genre that is typical from the "llanos" Which is a kind of flatland/prairie that extends over Venezuela and Colombia but mostly Venezuela. So I think the only country left behind by the composer would be Panama, but it s a good job trying to represent the most important genres of the region

    The Gran Colombian civilization's symbol is based on the coat of arms of Gran Colombia's third flag, with two cornucopias flanking a quiver and a halberd with a ribbon tied to its handle.
    The Gran Colombian civilization ability is a name given to the armies that liberated Latin America from the Spanish during the Spanish American wars of independence.

    • @josejoaquinrondonrubiano4741
      @josejoaquinrondonrubiano4741 4 года назад +5

      Wilfrid Laurier yes indeed, but the other symbol isn't a halberd but a roman facsis Which represented the authority of the lictors. Also Bolivar was a real fan of Roman history, for example he swore to liberate Latin America in the Monte sacro, the same place where sicinio and the plebs reunited against the patricians. He also divided the country as Diocletian did, dividing it in provinces and bigger entities called departments(diocese). He even was proclaimed dictator of Peru copying the Roman title. I think in part it was because he had one teacher called Andres Bello whom really liked Roman law and wrote books about it, bello created the code of law that is still used. Really thanks man for sharing because it makes me happy to know someone cares even a little about this forgotten and doomed "republiquetas"

      ps: I'm also having issues finding a cohesive meaning for that song :p

    • @ksebastiant
      @ksebastiant 4 дня назад

      "Velo que bonito" refers to the veneration of a Catholic Saint called Saint Antoine.
      In the song, the word "Velo que bonito" refers to the fact that the parishioners "took down" the image of the saint from the temple or Church adorned with bouquets of flowers and other objects intended to beautify the procession of Saint Antoine.
      That would be the main thing, since in other stanzas, they sing of the Christ Child and the city of Bethlehem.
      Saint Antoine of Padue is a very popular Christian saint in the culture of Afro-Colombians and Afro-Ecuadorians, both communities having very similar rites and songs designed to honor this saint, although the song itself is originally from Colombian Chocó if i'm not mistaken.

      Tienes mucho que aprender carajito, las tres (cuatro?) naciones hermanas son en conjunto un crisol de culturas demasiado ricas como para ponerse con patriotismos ñoños :)
      Pajarillo sin embargo, y asumo esa fue la intencion del compositor, revienta con fuerza todo el build up de las dos melodias anteriores, pero de nuevo, es todo en conjunto lo que hace que a uno se le agüe el guarapo carajo.
