Before I watch it, I thought it is just another ordinary anime movie. But I was wrong, this is way way way too good. For fans, is a must watch else u will regret. For non slam dunk fans but those who love sports, I bet u will love it.

Slam Dunk is such a big thing in Japan , i read it manga one week before watching the movie , even after that i was really surprised. Direction of the movie was so good and really liked the animation style 😊. Even though you know nothing about Slam Dunk you will really enjoy it . Sadly even PVR did not promoted it .Fun fact The match they showed in the movie was the last match of the manga which was never adapted as anime . Also story is made from Ryota Miyagi pov and not from Our two mian characters Sakuragi and Rukawa which made it fresh for even the manga readers .

A week before it was announced to be released in India I had just started Slam Dunk, I watched the hell out of the show but the show was not complete THEN this announcement and I was over the moon. Really glad that I got to watch it.

I started watching slam dunk after your recommendation. Currently I'm on episode 64 and I must tell I am loving it. Everything from plot to animation is just 10/10 !!! Hanamichi's character is just so funny and Sendoh is really handsome. I've never played sports competitively but slam dunk has kept me hooked until now ( I am looking forward to completing it). I'm enjoying it a lot. Thanks for the recommendation

The Indian audience is just too interested in fast-paced mainstream shounen anime, which are just trash mid or borderline h anime which should not be allowed to air on Japanese TV. 90s anime would not be popular in india even 5 years from now. Even after classics like Eva and GTO are popular in the west, very less people have seen it here.

When a movie really strong in the film/literature aspect releases, and it is technically "anime" in the sense that it is, well, animated and from Japan, people do not recognise the importance of it. I was waiting for this movie to release in India even I forced my friends to watch this movie even though neither one of them interested in the slamdunk series or real sports but Im a big fan of slamdunk manga and I tell you this that a manga can give milllions times more powerful goosebumps which chills you without any ice and make you to play basketball. but none of my friend believed it maybe becaus of taste different but after watchng this they now know one thing which is Slamdunk ( basketball ). thank you for making a video on this movie, for slamdunk fan nothing is better than your favourite anituber make a viedos on it and give justice to it. keep making video on underrated anime and manga as well. Bro what can i do in my city (i.e- india's most famous city varanasi - U.P) they just doesn't put anime movies on the theater I never went to any theater for a movie in my entire life till now but still i saved 600 rs (in total 4 months for a diamond seat)for suzume to experience first movie of my life in theater but they doesnt put it on the theater because on that day kisi ka bhai kisis ka jaan was released God damnit, i wish eren just rumble on these theaters
The reason why people ain't watching is probably because of very niche audience and believe me basketball culture is less in India compared to other countries, some might have not even heard this anime's name. Secondly I wish I could watch but no tickets near my location sadly. They had Suzume screening and even I went to watch that, people we're literally so pumped up and started cheering in the theatre when that tune came in at the start. I barely got seats for 2 in that show. Neither PVR cared much for Slam Dunk, no trailer not even having idea that there's a movie coming like that.
The reason why traumatic and depressing stories are always considered top tier is simple Making you feel the discomfort and uneasiness through a drawing is a feat which is very hard to achieve Making you question your existence or even your beliefs about something through a fictional story is the highest form of art Hype can be built by literally anything even 2 stick figures fighting in anime style is hype as fuck Even one piece too 500 ep to deliver that emotional scene and this same thing bersek or even Vinland saga does in mere 50-100 chap These Depressing stuff are relatable the main protagonist of these Depressing stories are relatable
True plus the theme they explore are very deep and not just scratching the surface. It truely shakes u to the core and make u question many things. I cant explain but it's to deep, complex and philosophical which makes them very different from other media

I have seen Slam dunk movie with my friend and my friend was like, "Its boring." The main reason is 1ST 3D ANIMATION! why!! and except that everything was great...
In my city Lucknow, like only 5 tickets were sold of Slam dunk's 1 show, and there were 8 shows in total. People are sleeping on this goat of a series ;-; and PVR barely did any promotion of it, even I found that it's releasing in India just cause I was curious enough to open PVR's insta profile to see what they are going to release now, and they released it too soon as well, they should have waited at least more than 2 months after posting about it I think.
guyz don't watch this movie..I m nott saying itz bad..just read the whole manga of slam dunk as the anime is not completely adapted from manga...this movie covers a certain match in the manga and this match is very important you can say the final match of the manga...if you watch this movie without context you will not understand and will get many spoilers on how shohoku (the main team in this manga where our mc is) has defeated the other teams and reached to that certain point where they were against that specific team so read the whole manga then watch this movie...bcoz I feel this manga is just a godly manga from inoue takehiko sensei...the best sports manga till date...don't miss this manga.... you will understand the movie better
SO I have not watched the movie but I have watched the anime and I can say it is one of the best anime out there if you hate basketball or sports as in general its fine but do watch the movie as the anime is really good at character development also I don’t know if Ryota is the MC of this film but the MC of the anime Sakuragi Hanamichi is one of the best MC of all time Also why to did PVR release it late in mangalore I checked on it the first day and it was not there and then I check it two days later it there were shows for Monday and Tuesday. I planned to go and watch on Wednesday as I and my friends have to travel for around 60kms just to watch it and then today when I check it was showing that they removed the show after two days as only 2 and 10 people appeared on both the days 😢Me and my friends were really heart broken💔

slamdunk is one of the favourite anime. I was waiting for this movie to release in India even I forced my friends to watch this movie even though neither one of them interested in the slamdunk series or real sports but Im a big fan of slamdunk manga and I tell you this that a manga can give milllions times more powerful goosebumps which chills you without any ice and make you to play basketball. but none of my friend believed it maybe becaus of taste different but after watchng this they now know one thing which is Slamdunk ( basketball ). thank you for making a video on this movie, for slamdunk fan nothing is better than your favourite anituber make a viedos on it and give justice to it. keep making video on underrated anime and manga as well. this movie will not give big spoiler but as Tarun Seanpai said spoiled anime experiece little bit but this will become fuel to watch it thouroghly anime+manga. So Just watch it then u can watch anime(leave the last 8-10 episode) then jump into manga( forget the chapter but u can google it, maybe bt 175-185 chapter)

I never went to any theater for a movie in my entire life till now but still
i saved 600 rs (in total 4 months for a diamond seat)for suzume to experience first movie of my life in theater but they doesnt put it on the theater because on that day kisi ka bhai kisis ka jaan was released

The reason why people ain't watching is probably because of very niche audience and believe me basketball culture is less in India compared to other countries, some might have not even heard this anime's name. Secondly I wish I could watch but no tickets near my location sadly. They had Suzume screening and even I went to watch that, people we're literally so pumped up and started cheering in the theatre when that tune came in at the start. I barely got seats for 2 in that show. Neither PVR cared much for Slam Dunk, no trailer not even having idea that there's a movie coming like that.
As a manga reader of slam dunk I can say this last match is the best match of any sports animanga that has been made

These Depressing stuff are relatable the main protagonist of these Depressing stories are relatable
True plus the theme they explore are very deep and not just scratching the surface.
It truely shakes u to the core and make u question many things.

In my city Lucknow, like only 5 tickets were sold of Slam dunk's 1 show, and there were 8 shows in total. People are sleeping on this goat of a series ;-; and PVR barely did any promotion of it, even I found that it's releasing in India just cause I was curious enough to open PVR's insta profile to see what they are going to release now, and they released it too soon as well, they should have waited at least more than 2 months after posting about it I think.

guyz don't watch this movie..I m nott saying itz bad..just read the whole manga of slam dunk as the anime is not completely adapted from manga...this movie covers a certain match in the manga and this match is very important you can say the final match of the manga...if you watch this movie without context you will not understand and will get many spoilers on how shohoku (the main team in this manga where our mc is) has defeated the other teams and reached to that certain point where they were against that specific team so read the whole manga then watch this movie...bcoz I feel this manga is just a godly manga from inoue takehiko sensei...the best sports manga till date...don't miss this manga.... you will understand the movie better

SO I have not watched the movie but I have watched the anime and I can say it is one of the best anime out there if you hate basketball or sports as in general its fine but do watch the movie as the anime is really good at character development also I don’t know if Ryota is the MC of this film but the MC of the anime Sakuragi Hanamichi is one of the best MC of all time
Also why to did PVR release it late in mangalore I checked on it the first day and it was not there and then I check it two days later it there were shows for Monday and Tuesday. I planned to go and watch on Wednesday as I and my friends have to travel for around 60kms just to watch it and then today when I check it was showing that they removed the show after two days as only 2 and 10 people appeared on both the days 😢Me and my friends were really heart broken💔
