    Thanks so much Marina. I have tried the Job Bank and I received about 7 invitation but I am not there so the employers don’t continue but that gives a positive feeling. Adjusting your resume to compliment the ad, works!
    I never apply for a job temporarily, mentally and realistically it’s wasting my time and the employer’s time and it does not fit well with your reputation and character.

    Another good information video. You are helping not only newcomers but nation-born Canadians and USA born also.
    My son has a bachelor's degree in digital-visual arts and business and was thinking of going for his master's. Also thank you for the information on how to rent to own. When I purchased my house I had to jump through so many loopholes. I was a nurse and a widow with a handicapped son. Your program would have helped a lot.

    My last question is that if a career coach says going for certification courses to land roles in Canada is not necessary and another influencer is saying masters isn’t necessary in landing a job, what do you think a first comer should do in getting better jobs.

    • @MARINAESIRI
      @MARINAESIRI  Год назад

      Random certificates are detrimental. You should only take certifications after you have established the skill gap you are trying to fill. I don't know the context of what that influencer was saying so I can't advise. But for me, a skills audit is the first step to determine where you are and what you need

    So I am really getting confused here, you said masters is not necessary for landing roles in Canada or pivoting to another career, but I have seen people coming for full time MBA in this Canada and North America to be specific, and landing jobs in global firms. Infact, these global firms target them for associate roles a lot! Also people coming to Canada for Masters to change the trajectory.
    So are you saying it doesn’t work?

    • @MARINAESIRI
      @MARINAESIRI  Год назад

      Please watch the video again. This is not for people who came here as international students. This is for people who have landed as PRs and are taking the masters solely to find a job. That alone will not work.

There may be a few certifications that he will need to complete to be able to work here because there are codes that guide some pluming jobs so he will need to train in that. What field is that? When you search for the jobs advertised by the government, is a masters degree a requirement? if it is not, then please abort mission. If it is, then you will need to consider if it is the worth that amount of sacrifice. can you consider getting in with a lesser position and working your way upwards? The government provides education support to staff. You may end up getting the masters at little or no cost to you. Be strategic. We can chat more about this.
