What a perfect Alice and wonderland box! I love that it is for a 10-14 year old girl. That activity book is awesome!! Love the stuffie, T-shirt and the stuffie. How cute is that clock mirror?! Also the earring inside are amazing! My favorite though has to be the mini croquet game! This girl is sure to feel the love poured into this box!
I so enjoy the collaboration videos. Lovely box. The comb is just gorgeous. I really like those satin pouches. The shirt is really cute. The Cheshire Cat from Kohls… love it. Clock compact is just perfect. Thanks for sharing.
Fun collab! It's amazing you all did different age ranges and completely different shoeboxes. Love the inside lid cover art. Love the plush and the matching socks. The doodle book is a wow! The shirt is my favorite. Beautiful red rose clip, jewelry and compact. The croquet set is another wow! Beautiful and thoughtful shoebox, Trish! Thanks for sharing! 🫖🍵🐰
Thanks, Sharon. It was so much fun to watch this one come together. The shirt, doodle book, earrings, mirrored storage box and croquet set are ALL my favorites. TFW, my friend.
Oh the doodle book! That’s my favorite in the box 😊 I forgot to show in my video that I also included the metal figurines of QOH and Cheshire Cat. We each did a different age group but still each packed those figurines. 😁 I also forgot to mention in my video that the pen I included in binding of notebook had image of Alice on it. Shoot. Oh that pocket watch organizer case is so perfect and adorable for the box. I love the story book you included for this young lady, and I am so sure she will love it too. I love all the colors you included in the box. I am praying that all three of the girls who receive our boxes will love the items, will know that God loves them, and will be lead to Accept Jesus in their hearts ❤️. Happy 4th, friend, and thanks for asking me to join this collab. It was so much fun!!
Thanks, Val. Yes, it was interesting that we each chose different age groups. Well, I wouldn’t have had those figurines to include, had you not given them to me 😂. So, thank you! The doodle book was an awesome find, and really the start of the Alice in Wonderland collection. I was concerned as to whether or not I would be able to pull it off for a 10-14-year-old girl, but I think, in the end, it turned out pretty good. I know I would have enjoyed pretty much everything in her box at that age. I really appreciate you joining me in this collaboration and really glad you didn’t mind waiting so long to share your AIW box. Thanks, my friend 🥰
It was one of my favorite stories as a child. We used to have a big, colorful story book with a 33 RPM record that came with it. The record was a narration of the story as my sister and I turned the pages. Wonderful memories 🥰
I miss Menards. I used to live in mid-Missouri but moved a few years ago to Tulsa after retiring. They always had great clearance and different items. Wonderful box and collaboration.
Wow 🤩 you continue to amaze 😊those tea cup and saucer earrings are adorable ❤thank you for making this little girl feel so loved and for making all us smile today
oh this was one of my favorite movies! I love that you pronounce Ches right! I love him, I have a few collectibles of him. I would deffinilty make a box but never see items for it. Super cute! love the plush, shirt, skateboard stickers, and ofcourse the mini croquet set!
Thanks, Tray. I came upon the doodle book and story book by chance at Dollar Tree. That’s what started the theme. Pretty much everything else I had to really go on the hunt for. I couldn’t believe it when I found some things on Shein and TEMU. That was a big help. Thanks for watching, Tray 🥰
I love the book you found! We each did a different age! Love it! Her stuffie is perfect! The doodle book is beautiful! Ahhhhh....we each packed the figurines. Too funny! We also packed the metal figurines. Oh this always makes me chuckle. Her shirt is so pretty. Her compact is so lovely! What a perfect selection for her! Oh the teacup and saucer earrings....I have never seen anything so cute before! I love her rose comb! I have never seen that before at DT! Brilliant to include a croquet set! Who would have ever thought there would be a mini croquet set? So fun! We both included the same jewelry pouch! This was such a beautiful representation of Alice in Wonderland! Great job my friend! Thank you for letting me collaborate with you and Val! These are always so fun!
Thanks so much, Denise. Oh, the tea cup and saucer earrings were a must have. Even though they are ceramic, I couldn’t help myself. I do hope they make it to their destination. The rose combs came out at DT for Mother’s Day. The croquet set was an exciting find. I have never seen anything like it before, either. Did you also notice we packed the same Alice in Wonderland stickers from Temu and puzzle from DT? But all in all, all three boxes were quite different, but all filled with lots of fun and special items for each age range. Yes, it’s so funny all 3 of us chose different age ranges. Thanks for joining us on this one. I’m so glad you were able to collaborate on such short notice 🥰
I so love this theme! Her stuffy is adorable and I will say, I’m very impressed with kohls cares stuffies. They have so many and for 5 bucks, not a bad deal. The shirt is beautiful. Ohhh the watch mirror container is awesome. I bought those earrings and completely forgot I had them 🤣. Love the key necklace idea. The tea cup earrings and croquet are so unique! I have never been to mennards and tried to shop online but they charge a shopper fee??!!!. Awesome collaboration, this young lady will be in awe.
Thanks, Jeannie. I love it when I can do Amazon returns at Kohl’s and use that $5 Kohl’s cash. I think that stuffie was originally $7.99, but the Alice in wonderland bakery toys were on sale for 30% off when I purchased it with my $5 Kohls cash. So, $.59 !!! Needless to say, I was excited 😆. Do they have Menards in Florida? I’ve never heard of a shoppers fee when ordering online. I can’t say I have ordered much online from them, though, but a couple of years ago. I did order an outdoor shed for pick up in store. I was not charged a shoppers fee. The stores are increasing prices wherever they can, so maybe Menards has become creative with online purchasing 🤷🏻♀️
@@byrdfeed9071 no Trish, no Menards in Florida that I’m aware of but last time I packed my cart full of school supplies and Barbie for 2.99, at checkout they added a 7 dollar shoppers fee🙄
Love your "Alice" shoebox! Did you mention where you got the doodle book? Those teacup earrings are too cute! That croquet set is great! Thanks for sharing! Happy 4th! 🎉😊🙏
Well, I thought I mentioned where I got the doodle book, but I may not have, or it may have ended up on the cutting room floor 😂. I got it at DT, but quite some time ago. You picked 3 of my favorites, the doodle book, teacup earrings, and croquet set. Thanks for watching and commenting, Kim 🥰
Amazing!! the croquet set is defently a wow item! and I love the idea to include cards and the plush is amazing! admittingly, I never seen the regular Alice movie, I just... never get to enjoy older movies much tbh, I tried with Snow White and the OG Superman, those just don't look very good on a modern TV lol (I'm guess I just too much of a millenial and need HD lol), but I love the bakery show, and who knows? Disney are being Disney, so I might even get a new version of Alice at some point in the future :) they ARE remaking Snow White after all🃏😺🎩❤❤❤🍄🥮🍥
Thanks, Math. I know what you mean about watching the older movies. Sometimes I have a hard time getting into them, too. It’s been a while since I have seen Alice in Wonderland, though. That one, I wouldn’t mind seeing again. The story is so unique. TFW today 🥰
Oh my goodness you found so many cute things! I love the t-shirt, mirror compact, jewelry, doodle book & the mini croquet set (I loved playing that game when I was little) ! You must have an excellent printer, the pictures you put on your lid are always so vibrant! I'm wondering where you get jump ropes, I ordered some online & I'm unhappy with the quality, yours look better 🥰
I bought that jump rope along with a gazillion others at Walmart 2 years ago during the after summer clearance for $.10 each. I don’t put them in every box so I’ve made them last, but I am close to running out. I hope I see that deal again this year, because I didn’t see it last year.
Hey, one of your videos first popped into my recommended videos a couple of months ago. I had no idea what OCC was. I just watched your videos because I liked the warm feeling you project. I don't have close relationships with my family, and hearing your voice and the joy you are providing to these kids in need really warms my heart. I have never packed a shoebox before, I'm a 20 year old uni student in the UK so funds are tight, but I'm looking to prehaps pack 1 or 2 this year. Do you have any advice? I am not religious so not connected / associated with any church that can help me. Is that going to be a hinderance? I do not mind one bit that this is a christian organisation, I think its very wonderful.
Hi Isla! Welcome. I’m so glad you stumbled across my channel and have been enjoying it. I think it’s wonderful that you are wanting to pack 1 or 2 boxes this year. You do not need to be religious or connected with any church in order to participate in packing shoeboxes for OCC. My advice would be to find an average sized regular shoebox. The standard sized preprinted shoebox that can be purchased from OCC in bulk measures 7“ x 12“ here in the US and I believe it’s the same size in the UK. I am giving you that information for size reference, although it’s OK if your shoebox is a little bit bigger or smaller. You can gift wrap it, or decorate it in some other way, if you wish, but that is not necessary, either. You can just send it, as is. That’s totally up to you. You do not need to fill your box as tight as I do. I certainly remember how tight finances were when I was a university student. However, it is better to send one fuller box than 2 half empty boxes. Start by picking a gender and age range, 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. Choose a wow item for the appropriate age and gender, add some school supplies and a toothbrush, maybe a coloring book and crayons. Then fill in with whatever else you can afford in the way of small toys. Don’t forget to include a brief note to the child. Adding a photo personalizes your gift even more. If you include your email address or Facebook info, you may hear back from the recipient. The list of items allowed to be sent out of the UK will be slightly different than the US. I don’t have the link to Samaritans Purse/Operation Christmas Child, UK, but you can Google the list of suggested items for the UK, but most importantly, the “do not send list”. Collection week may also be different in the UK. Ours is November 13-20. Google that, too. As we get closer to collection week, you will also be able to Google drop off locations near you. There is a $10 per shoebox shipping/handling suggested donation. It covers project costs involved in collecting, processing, and shipping your shoebox gift and ministry materials. If you donate online, you can “follow your box” (find out where it goes). I know a fellow RUclips Shoebox packer in the UK. Her channel is Charlotte’s Shoeboxes and I believe she lives in Sheffield. If you have questions specific to OCC UK, I am certain she would be happy to answer those questions and would be helpful in any way she can. She may even have some OCC UK links on her channel, as the regulations can be different by sending country due to the different receiving countries. I hope this is a helpful start. if you have any more questions, feel free to ask me or Charlotte. Have fun packing your box(es). It’s very rewarding 🥰
@@byrdfeed9071 wow, thank you for all the info, this has been very helpful!! I have been in reciept of similar things to OCC growing up (although not to this level). @@islaremon4654 very good question. It varies from year to year, but consistently, the 5-9 age group receives the most boxes. In all age groups less boxes are received for boys than girls. For the past several years 2-4 boys and girls received the least boxes followed by 10-14 boys and girls. 5-9 girls and boys received the most. Although the 2-4 age range receives the least number of boxes, some people argue that there are only 3 ages in that range, whereas there are 5 ages in 10-14 and feel the same number of boxes are spread thinner for the 10-14 age group vs 2-4, if that makes sense. I think you can’t go wrong packing for either the younger or older age range and if you only want to pick one gender, pick boys.
Your Alice box is amazing! I loved everything placed in the box. I do have a question: are you looking specifically for items to go with a theme? Or do you just buy things that just give you a feel might work in boxes?
Well, I guess the answer to that is, both, but, in general, mostly I look for great deals on things that I know are great for shoeboxes gifts, theme or no theme. Whenever I see those items on sale or clearance for what I consider a shoebox price, I buy it, even stock up, if we are talking under $1. Then I build my themes from there. I may have collected 2, 3 or 4 items that have the same theme or work well with a particular theme. Once I’ve started a theme, I start looking for or really just keep my eyes peeled for the things that I need to round out that particular shoebox gift, but I’m still looking for deals. It’s all about the price for me, while still maintaining the quality and packing a well rounded box. Keep in mind, I usually have 50-70 themed boxes going at a time year-round. So, if I don’t find something to complete a particular theme one year, I just hang onto it until I do… maybe next year or even the next. I always have so many boxes in the works, that it doesn’t matter if I finish a particular theme this year or not. Occasionally, when I need something specific to finish off a themed box, and it’s not something that I’m going to easily find on clearance anywhere in town, I may resort to purchasing at regular price on Amazon if I have gift card money.
Love it!❤❤❤
