Bastion Point occupation, 40 years on

This week marks 40 years since the end of the occupation of Takaparawha by Ngāti Whātua o Ōrākei which saw a force of over 700 govt forces evict the iwi from the area. Sharon Hawke, who was there to see it all, says despite govt plans to evict and vilify them, Ngāti Whātua still holds on to the land they fought for. Hania Douglas reports.
