You are right 50% of the time, Erica? Blimey! that's 15 to 20% more than me then! Take care you Three.
The main thing about those steering unit are what force they need to handle. Under rated units will fail fast. That looks like the ones I used to put on 20-24' motor boats which do not have much force since the outboard motor is the steering unit. You have duel rudders which take much more force in strong seas. Hope its strong enough. Many convert their units to gears and chains which handle more force.
Avoided George Town this year. Probably will go back next year but not stay long. Too bad a few ruined a great spot for many and not just boaters but stores etc in town.
Too be honest it’s not too bad. Change is something we are used to as cruisers. The community is still great here.
When's the eta of the mast just wondering
No eta yet. We got a quote when we were in the states for $50k. It’s not in the budget right now.
When are you going to put a rig on that boat? Follow the hurricanes and you will find one.
We got a quote for one when we were in the states. $50k is not in the budget right now. As far as a used one goes, it cannot be any old mast. Catamaran masts are special, raked, diamond spreaders etc.
