- In this weeks episode of Barefoot Travels we discuss how to prepare your boat for hurricane season. Hurricane season began June 1 and will continue on until November. It has only just begun.
This year we are in Luperon which is much more protected than the Bahamas where we spent the last two years.

Prepare for the worst, hope for the best. Good motto.
The only way to be!!

Hurricane and lightning season. Don’t have a mast!!! 😂😂😂
😆 yea that helps a little
Great job guys!!
Thanks for watching 🎉🎉
Really enjoyed this video. Great information. 😎👍
Thank you for watching and for commenting!! 🎉🎉
This was a good video with common sense preparation. It appears that there are no viable land storage options in Luperon Harbor? What is the maximum draft vessel that can be hauled out, or is the marine facility not active.
Thanks for watching. Luperon harbour is a great place. Great people and safe for hurricane season.
I am not going to comment on the yard here in luperon at the present time.
The Dominic gets run over every year by hurricanes. They don’t always turn to a tropical depression by the time they get there. Not much historic research on this.
The south coast of the DR gets hit quite often. But here in Luperon has not been hit with a major hurricane.
It is historically the safest place in the Caribbean.
