Starting early is always a good time in this hobby. Prices have been off the charts lately. Might be a new ground floor. Who knows? Just uploaded a PL to the website and about to put a DPL up too. Feel free to check it out if you have time!
Hi Drew, great content in your videos! I seen your interview on treasure town but when i searched for your channel it was hard to find bc couch collectibles videos show up when searching your channel name. So change the channel name and you should blow up on here. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for this info. I have a question about it... which grade it's better??? PL 69 or PF 69. So far I can say they are different coin finishes, and it depends on the distance they reflect on coin to read some text, but I just wanna know which is a higher grade. Somebody can help me please?
I have multiple coins in both NGC and PCGS slabs that are in PL holders that I can read 8 inches away with a full cameo effect on all devices date, stars, motto, head and eagle. What is up with these grading companies? Do you know their technique for measuring DMPL? I mean its to the point where I can put DMPL and PL morgans side by side. Some I can see are PL but several match DMPL. I know grading is subjective but it really does seem very inconsistant and unfair.
Love what you're breaking down.... As someone who has circled the Sun a few times, probably less than I'll want to admit- After 40 the eyes change, if you wear contacts it's off the hook. Really enjoy what you are sharing and passing on- Napster Of Coin Collecting? God Bless You, GEG
I love that movie! HAHA... (The Napster from the Italian Job Movie? Why yes of course :D) I'm glad you are learning from all that we are sharing! My eyes are in bad shape too but I try my best and ask others for help while not try to strain my eyes. Not sure if you were asking about this, but our website is complete. Feel free to visit over there anytime! (Link in the description for you).
Learning about the clarity at distances between approximately 4-8” for PL DMPL is a lot clearer to me now. It’s a better reference knowing the clarity is refers to viewing 12 pitch font. I thought the main factor was comparing the devices to the depth of the fields. That was really subjective grading in my opinion; however, a rather standard measured distance would be more helpful in identifying PL v DMPL or non at all. Thanks
Thank you Vince! Trying to save people a little time and effort! If interested I just uploaded a nice raw 1921 High Relief to the website. Have an awesome weekend dude!
You do a great job with your videos. I really enjoy them.
I'm a sucker for PL/DMPL Morgans. Once again as with everything they have shot up in price. Glad I purchased a bunch of these quite some time ago.

Interesting to know a standard can be used to measure each designation. I was not aware. Will the same method be used on other denominations of coin.?
I haven't received information on other series yet, but I would assume they have similar ways of testing coins for PL/DMPL.
Good to know in the future!
Another great video Drew and some nice looking Morgans.

GD, I hope your day has been awesome brother. God bless you and thank you for watching.
The older NCG fatty holders are the best. And in many cases the rims tone in the slab making them more desirable
