This was only the second time I used the FlowBee, so that's why she looked so nervous. I did continue to cut her hair with it for a little over a year, but now she's gone to a longer hair style and the Flowbee doesn't work so well (for me anyway) on anything longer than what she had in the vid. I do use the spacers on the end when I'm doing my own hair, but it didn't seem to help much on a hairstyle this long. I still use the Flowbee on myself regularly and I LOVE it.
You forgot to attach the spacer that goes on the end. That's what allows better airflow & suction. I've been cutting my own hair for the past 3 years with one.
This is Sooooooooo helpful! You have the same kind of hair I do and about the same length right now. I have been cutting my own hair, but it doesn't always turn out even. Yours looks fantastic and I could get my husband doing it for me. Thanks so much!!!!
No matter what array of spacers used, the breather foot must be attached attached. You are one of the few users on RUclips to do so.Flobee works much better when bounced up and down not side to side like a standard clipper.
When I bought my Flowbee I bought the vacuum with it. My first haircut today didn't show much hair in the vacuum chamber. It was so overgrown that I had a hard time choosing a spacer. I used the angled foot. I did the back ends of my hair, and it didn't cut much off?
OMG IT LOOKS AMAZING !!!!!!! I am definitely ordering one once they have them back in stock. They are all sold out with the corona virus and national shut-down.
Try a Robocut if you can't find one It's the original that Flowbee was modeled after. It's the same price and does longer hair if needed without having to buy extra spacers. I bought a Flowbee halfway through the shutdown when the factory let a few go on Ebay. It's a great investment and after 3 hair cuts I mastered it for my hair style and now I can experiment with it. I've got control over my hair, I'm saving money, and I get the exact same haircut every time. Get yourself one of those 3 sided mirrors that hang from the bathroom door, a Robocut or a Flowbee, and some inexpensive clippers and scissors and that's all you need. There's also a bendable rear hair line cutting guide sold by Robocut that makes cutting the back for short hair much easier. The Robocut is used by NASA by the way. They mention it on their website. Don't buy the Aircut I've heard bad things about it.
Do you remember the attachment lengths you used for the sides, front and back? Also how did you section the hair to make this cut? I have the Flowbee and want to try this cut.
You combine plastic clip-ons called "spacers" and "feet", to achieve any length you like from 1/2" upward. It won't go shorter, unless you use it contrary to instructions. And it would probably be difficult to use, for hair longer than 6". I'm a man with straight hair, who prefers a simple, tapered haircut of medium length ... and it's perfect for that. The way to achieve a tapered effect is simply to change spacers and feet, to cut at gradually shorter and shorter lengths. I cut to about 2" length on top, and use different combinations to a point where it cuts to only 1/2" length around the ears and where the back of the head meets the neck. Some of the spacers are angled, which can also help achieve a taper, but that's more complicated.
It did not flop. Flowbees selling for like $300 on Ebay right now. They can cut any length and style with a capable person behind the machine. It's best invention of the last century. Does a better job than most stylists. Goerge Clooney has cut his hair with one for over 25 years.
A typical Flowbee user would cut his/her hair often, maybe every 2 weeks. That would tend to remove only a small amount of hair at a time, maybe only 1/4" of length. Cutting that often is doable, because it doesn't take much time (10 minutes at most) and you're working from home. The net effect is, you maintain something very close to the same length of hair at all times. You never look like you "need" a haircut ... and you never look like you just got one either. It's good.
Yah, you can call BS all you want but this thing REALLY works! The whole concept that a beautician uses is the same as the spacers serve with Flowbee. I have used mine to cut my own hair for several years now... I would try to cut my own, "without" Flowbee, but never could get it even...then realizing, the Flowbee, which was ALWAYS, kind of a "joke" since its inception, had the same concept as a beautician would use to get the even lengths around the head... I have been using it ever since, I have saved sooo much money in haircuts that may or may NOT have turned out just the way I wanted, but with the Flowbee... it is a "science" that gives me the same cut every time I use it!... and with adding or subtracting the spacers you can vary your style if you like.
@@paisley38 I've used one for years on my short curls, but her hair just looked way to even on the ends and the taper to the chin is hard to believe. Her husband must be a whiz with this machine ;^)
Great job dude... post more haircuts and help spread the word about this amazing device for the 80's

Oh! I absolutely love your haircut!
Not many can rock the short hair like you do. Looks great!

Very very beautiful💕
I really like it a lot 🙇👏💋😍💕
We were honestly pretty surprised at how well it came out :-)
Wow! That’s a gorgeous cut!

I used to make jokes about the flow bee but I gotta be honest. I thought that cut on her looked really good….I’m impressed with the flow bee….

It would have been nice to have you show how you did the back of her hair.
Looks really nice!
Wow you did a good job!
Gorgeous!!!!!
So cute!
Over 20 years, I use Flowbee in Japan. How popular in USA?

Been thinking about one for my mom. The vacuum was so loud, couldn’t hear a word they said.
There’s a piece missing on the end, I forget what it’s called, but it’s small guard that is suppose to be on the end that touches the head.
It's called a "foot". I got my Flowbee about a month ago, and am still developing some technique. It's fantastic.
Wow! Looks great :-)
nice haircut did you ever do it again
Give her a Buzzcut with The Flowbee next time!
I'll try to get a vid up of myself one of these days.
Even though it turned out great she's still acting anxious and worried. Boo. Show some confidence in the man!
That tool seems so loud.
brave women
It doesn't look capable of cutting much hair off, does it? Like what? 2cm cut off? That's why it flopped.
Different attachments so u can cut a lot or a little.
It didn't flop. Flowbee is capable of many styles. Good for short or long hair and you don't want uneven cuts. This is a presicion cutting system.
