My mother got a flobee years ago and we used it for years. It's actually an awesome product and I even used it to cut my hair for a long time. My hair in my profile picture was cut with a flobee. I actually love the feeling of my hair being sucked up by the vacuum.

Hey Bunny! Experienced wig stylist here. You should grab a couple foam wig heads at a wig store and a wig head table clamp. Styling wigs on those instead of on your head is so much easier!

So, I almost never comment on anyone’s videos, but this time, I simply have to! When I was in 7th grade (1993-1994), I saw a male classmate of mine come into school with the absolute worst haircut I had ever seen in my life! This poor boy who already had a personality that attracted a lot of teasing, now had a head of hair that was long on one side, short on the other, and practically bald in patches all over his head. When we asked him what happened, he said his stepfather did it. “He ‘flowbeed’ it! he said. That was how I learned about this product, and seeing it on your channel just brings back the memories surrounding that day and the weeks that followed until his hair had grown enough to get a real haircut. Fortunately, this boy was able to shrug off the teasing and laugh about it with his friends. Buyer, beware! Not a good product! Thanks for the laughs and the humorous photographic memories it brought to my mind, Bunny!
Flowbee only works as well as the person using it. You do need a vacuum with strong suction, which I think was the issue with Bunny's try. The benefit of a Flowbee is that it gets the hair all the same length with zero mess. You still need to fix the edges and any extra shaping and texture for a given hairstyle. With that said, it is pretty foolproof if you just cut it all to the same length for a male haircut. It could be that his stepfather wasn't sure how to use it and just tried to use it without the spacers. That could be hilarious.
Bunny, I had a flowbee for over 12 years I got it in 1996 and forgot to pack it when I moved. I miss mine so bad!!!! I am a guy with short hair and I used this and some trimmers for a long time. I LOVED It and was never ashamed to tell people I used it because I got a lot of compliments. Did they start making them again?? That looks like a different model. That white box is exactly like mine was. This is not a troll. I do not think this will be good for long hair at all but works perfectly on short hair. Yes! Works great for short hair, men were #1 for using it! As I mentioned in another comment, this has been out for at least couple decades and was so easy & convenient using the correct spacers. Men "rarely" change their hairstyles so, was Perfect for them!

My dad has the flowbee and has had it for close to 15 years. He loves it and use to cut my son and his friends hair for them. The machine still works amazing too
i own the flowbee..i actually like it alot. you do have to get over the scared feeling while using it. what ive found is its better for more of a all over length cut. and its very sensitive to certain hair types ive noticed so maybe the wig was messing with it. the one tip i have is make sure the hair is completely dry even slightly damp and the cutters can seize up on you, i found out the hard way and had to work with alot of oils and tools to get them to move after i did damp hair.

I have one of these. I bought it because I thought it was funny and kept it for years because I was scared to use it. When I finally tried it, I kinda loved it. You need better suction (it should suck up the hair when it gets close) and also use the base spacer. That is the one that always goes at the bottom and lets air flow in when it is on the head. Just hop it up and down perpendicular to the scalp and the hair will all get cut to the same length. Pin up areas to section hair you want at different lengths. Follow with thinning shears at borders between lengths for a more finished look. Also, oil the blades with a few drops of the included oil and do that again after each use.
My family's had a flowbee for over 6 years now. We think it's awesome. My wife is really good with it. She uses it for our four kids and herself. Like any tool you get better with practice.

I used to have the same cut as Demi Moore in "Ghost" so having the Flowbee saved me major bucks since I had to cut it more frequently. I've used it to cut hubby's hair over the years, and even trim my "shag" style a couple of years ago. When I wore a longish bob I style, I could go longer between trims and I was happy to give my business to a stylist to support local. But now I'm more grateful than ever to have it, because it's the pandemic, and my hair should have been cut over a month ago. The salons are all closed until further notice, and I'm desperate!!! haha I am going to give myself a trim tomorrow (very carefully) because I have a more "complicated" shag cut again. Those spacers are key!! :-D
I have one and use it for my son who has Autism and hates going to get his hair cut. He loves getting it cut with the Flowbee. The part you may have missed is that you only want to cut a very small amount at a time - that is, just the tips. Given the length of that wig, you did not have enough spacers. It needs to be pulling the entire length of the hair into the spacer.

I have one of these. I bought it because I thought it was funny and kept it for years because I was scared to use it. When I finally tried it, I kinda loved it. You need better suction (it should suck up the hair when it gets close) and also use the base spacer. That is the one that always goes at the bottom and lets air flow in when it is on the head. Just hop it up and down perpendicular to the scalp and the hair will all get cut to the same length. Pin up areas to section hair you want at different lengths. Follow with thinning shears at borders between lengths for a more finished look. Also, oil the blades with a few drops of the included oil and do that again after each use.

My family's had a flowbee for over 6 years now. We think it's awesome. My wife is really good with it. She uses it for our four kids and herself. Like any tool you get better with practice.

Always enjoy your vids, Bunny! And I love my Flowbee! Have been using it on and off since the early 1990s. I used to have the same cut as Demi Moore in "Ghost" so having the Flowbee saved me major bucks since I had to cut it more frequently. I've used it to cut hubby's hair over the years, and even trim my "shag" style a couple of years ago. When I wore a longish bob I style, I could go longer between trims and I was happy to give my business to a stylist to support local. But now I'm more grateful than ever to have it, because it's the pandemic, and my hair should have been cut over a month ago. The salons are all closed until further notice, and I'm desperate!!! haha I am going to give myself a trim tomorrow (very carefully) because I have a more "complicated" shag cut again. Those spacers are key!!

I have one and use it for my son who has Autism and hates going to get his hair cut. He loves getting it cut with the Flowbee. The part you may have missed is that you only want to cut a very small amount at a time - that is, just the tips. Given the length of that wig, you did not have enough spacers. It needs to be pulling the entire length of the hair into the spacer.
