Have yet to hear them play this live, as I've only seen them live twice (once in 2019, once this year at Primavera Sound Barcelona). The nastiest fucking guitar and bass tones I have ever heard live bar none. So idiosyncratically dialed in, just totally characteristic and unique. First time I heard this song was maybe in 2018, on the come-up of a 2 tab acid trip. My house mate at the time asked if I wouldn't mind him playing some tunes while I came up. I had previously heard At Action Park but that was my extent of exposure to Shellac. He played 'The End of Radio' on the threshold between not feeling the acid and starting to have my senses and faculties distorted. The electrifying quality of this song blew my mind, as I started climbing to the peak of the trip quite rapidly. It has been forever etched into my brain's grey matter, one of my favourite music listening experiences.
Morgan Beatty, nice work. Who gives a shit if the shit if there is the odd rare bit sound of things blowing up. As summing up the mood, this clip is killer. And ya right, if people want to be listening to the song for sound, buy the fucking album. I saw these guys in Brisbane a few weeks back. Fucking unbelievable. Got to thank the guys personally, I was holding a glass of cheap house white when I went to thank Steve. He gave me a disapproving look, but shit he still accepted my thank you. Ha

Where is the footage from btw? is it just randomly collected videos of these signal towers falling or there is a specific source cause its freaking awesome :)
Here the sound effects are unobtrusive & they fit with the theme of the song so I agree. But others will use the song as the back drop for an entire clip of a video game clip without muting the sound effects or with their headcam shot of an atv-race or some silly shit like that at which point it's pretty disrespectful. When you hear the sound of an engine for all or most of the song it becomes an integral component to the song such that it's another version of the song. Not good
Doesn't matter whether the audio was ripped from a CD or recorded off of vinyl. It doesn't even matter if it was saved in a PCM format. Being linked to a video and uploaded onto RUclips means it has been converted to a lossy compression format. At this point, the only appreciable difference is probably that one is louder than the other. Other than that, there is surely some excess noise unique to each file that comes from making copies of anything, but that should be negligible.
