The first 5 minutes is utterly full on, after that its just a constant intensity you don't find in other human campaign levels. I was fully expecting this to be a blooper
@@TimDoherty I just played the last human mission a few days back. It is much easier if you place a few (I did three) guard towers to the left of the second gold mine. A few to the right as well. Peasants will still get attacked occasionally but this will cut down attacks on them by 90% and you can grow your economy much faster. My only other strategy is to use two extra peasants to build that first town hall faster. The quicker the first base gets up the better. That said it's a difficult and annoying scenario. You can also cripple white's economy by having gryphons attack the farms and kill the peons as they try to repair them. If the farms are gone, you can place the gryphons near the gold mine to take out the peons. It will take a while to reach the capability to do this though and is only useful before the attack on black to the east. You need air superiority for this and by that point you've already won the scenario anyway. Orc 14 is far easier. I won't give tips on that one since you haven't done the recorded playthrough yet.

I think one day I'd like to try it again, use some of the techniques I learnt to make it smoother

Yeah I played it before, I can generally remember it, but it was some years back. I’ll need a good hour or two to get it done
