Very cool. I would never have thought to try and use Google Earth like that. Thanks for taking the time to show me how to do that. No doubt it'll take me a little time to work it out still.

Did a trial of this today. Seems to have worked. Will put up a video of a ride we did this weekend sometime this week. Thanks so much.

I am happy that I could teach you something and I am looking forward to see the results. I case you don't like the Google Earth Logo at the bottom, you can increase the recording resolution for the height by e.g 200 pixel and when embedding it to your video, you can move the logo part outside of the visible frame.

I hit a problem, perhaps to do with my settings in Moviemaker. I chose 4k60P 3840x2160 pixels with 60fps (didn't pay enough attention to what you said perhaps:)). When I made my video using NCH Videopad, the video freezes but the music plays all the way through. Do you think the resolution is to high on the Google Earth video sections? The strange thing is it works when I test the video in the app but when I export it I have problems.

Phew, I can only guess that your NCH Videopad editor cause the trouble. Is your raw Google Earth Video able play on it's own via VLC? Can your NCH Videopad editor convert only the Google Earth video into a mp4? Did you try different codec/file formats and resolutions of the Google Earth video?

@@delaferte I think you're right regarding Videopad. I'll look into that but also try using the settings you use. The clips I have made do play in VLC Media Player but are a bit jerky.

@@delaferte Success! It was the resolution. Video worked after dropping it to your resolutions. Should be up on RUclips. Thanks so much yet again.
