- Today I’m going to feature the newest automotive diagnostic scan tool to my toolbox the Launch CRP129E Engine ABS SRS TCM scanner with Oil/EPB/SAS/TPMS/Injector 5 reset service
We will test this out on multiple different cars like a Honda CRV, GMC Chevy Silverado, Ford Taurus X, Kia Sedona, Toyota Corolla, Cadillac ATSV, and a Toyota Tundra And a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. These range in years from 2007 to 2018 and are all ODB to compliant.

The Launch Scan tool worked really well on Kia, Toyota, Ford, Honda and GM. It did not work well on a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica however this was not on the tools list of supported vehicles.

The Launch CRP129E is just what i have been look for,I have a Toyota need to do oil reset.
Lifetime free update,we can not complain it.
It’s nice to not have to check the manual or google for a RUclips video every time. Plus since you are hooking up you simply take the extra few minutes to scan for codes👍🏻

can you calibrate steering on this unit? I just bought one and can't figure out where to find steering cal
I have the CRP129X, its the same as the CRP129E but with buttons. Its a great novice scanner but it does have limitations but its good for the price. I very happy with my purchase last year.

How do you check oil pressure on this scanner ?
Been using the launch pro mini for a few months and the only thing I've found lacking was a pps reset on a couple of vehicles. It's a lot more expensive than that one, but it is a full scan tool.

I have just got my crp129e and it works fine. However, it gets hot when connecting to car obd2. Also I have scanned 3 different vehicles and battery percentage was not increased . Is that normal??
Yes,it will being hot when you connecting a period of time.what's mean "battery percentage was not increased" ?

I have a a cheap $15 obd scanner and it would read all my cars except my 97 xj....it would keep kicking me out....borrowed a better scanner and read the xj no problem......i never thought about chrysler not supporting certain code. Readers
I used to have the creader v I believe like like that one but with buttons, it was ok but in some models I couldn't connect not even with the generic OBD2 , but this model looks more shaper and faster plus I like the battery voltage reading from the dlc, and the way the codes are displayed is clean it feels like my Maximus 3.0(Wich is a launch also sorta..) it's very cool it can share the reports, I think it's pretty awesome
Can it program key fobs? Is it good with ABS sensor live data? I'm looking for a affordable scanner.
You want spend like 600-700 for key fob programming...
It can program fobs. But it's an extra module you have to purchase through the mall app ($20).

So I called Launch USA other day they said all 123, 129 Lunch scan tools were not made for US market.
It's true, and as such they're not available for any updates because launch doesn't support them because it was not bought through an official dealer.

DO not buy launch scan tools, they do not honour there warranty, after owning mine for only 9 months it develops glitches which uploaded faults into the ECM'S of my customers vehicles. Try to contact the helpline that's when you're realise that you been screwed
