    I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream is a cult classic video game where an evil computer named AM has destroyed everyone except for five people. They have been repeatedly tortured for over a hundred years by exploiting a flaw withing their personality. Play through the survivors by making ethical choices to prove that humans can be better than the cold calculating machines that now rule this world. I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream is an award winning point and click horror game and psychological adventure game that is based on a short story from Harlan Ellison.

    This game has to be one of the hardest point and clicks. There is so much detail so many ways to do things. Though the biggest hint is never to give into the characters base desires as AM wants you to do. You guys seemed to have started to figure that out in the last one. It's about each character trying to overcome their past, atone for their past, and do the best to bring humanity back into a world destroyed by the worst of it. I don't think I've ever seen another game quite like it.

    For people complaining about the guide, remember this is a stream and not a standard LP. They wanted to get the perfect endings and in that setting there is absolutely no way for them to do so with the game's difficulty and style of play. Being mad at him for using a guide on a difficult game that he had no intention of playing for 10+ hours and wasting time, in a live-feed doesn't make sense.
    In short, there are different concerns between twitch and youtube. The twitch stream was fine and enjoyable, but if you want a legit LP go somewhere else. Don't try to make a steak dinner out of a sandwich.

    • @oopus4
      @oopus4 6 лет назад +6

      They could have used the guide sparingly, you also make it out to be way more difficult than it really is.

    • @RozzanaRose
      @RozzanaRose 6 лет назад +4

      It was difficult enough for them, that they felt it would take too much time within this specific session to figure out on their own. Twitch streamers have different concerns than youtubers, which is why the stream was the way it was.

    • @polyjohn3425
      @polyjohn3425 6 лет назад +14

      No, they couldn't have used the guide sparingly. This game is great, but it punishes you for exploring, and one misclick on a seemingly-innocent item can prevent you from getting the "perfect" ending, which is actually the only good ending. They explicitely played the game in a stream with the goal of getting the good ending. Without playing the game enough times to memorize it, playing by the guide is literally THE ONLY WAY to do what they wanted to do.

    More context for Ted: he's a poser. He was born to a working class family and did lots of menial jobs. Then saved enough and got into high society, prep, posh; hence the sweater tie. But of course he didn't let his new associates know that he's actually poor. That deep dark secret to be kept.

In fact, that last one messed me up because I didn’t understand *why*. Seriously though, I remember the eyes stuff and the sacrificial stuff and how bloody that surgical table was. I hate to say this was really disappointing when you got the airship segment and you started simply reading from the guide exclusively. You were no longer even attempting to explore or look at the game itself at all. I appreciate having a guide to help when you get stuck or even to keep things moving - but when you don't even take the time to explore your surroundings it defeats a lot of the purpose of playing the game in the first place; at least - for me. I say this not to be mean, but because it's a shame you didn't experience the airship segment for what it was, and hope in the future you take your time if you do more games like this.

    • @SapphireDragon357
      @SapphireDragon357 6 лет назад +48

      To be fair, this game commits one of the cardinal sins of adventure games: punishing exploration. If you say the wrong things or even look at the wrong stuff, you don't get the 'perfect' ending.

    • @SuperHoppedUp
      @SuperHoppedUp 6 лет назад +18

      Yeah it kind of relies on using save scumming to complete perfectly on your first playthrough (which is kind of LP poison.) One could argue that save scumming represents the idea the AM is making the characters repeat these sequences over and over until they either get their perfect ending, or the ending that he wants, but one would have a hard time arguing that so far up their own ass.

    • @skinnermclane4467
      @skinnermclane4467 6 лет назад +9

    • @Himiko_Void
      @Himiko_Void 6 лет назад +1

      You are aware that this game... came out in 1995 right? The artstyle like this isn't on purpose, it's probably a result of being in development for some time and then coming out on 1995.
      The voice-acting is also rather fine when it comes to some of the characters and the voice actors are trying very hard with an actual English-written script instead of a Japanese to English translated script. Have you even heard the original RE game?
      Also, comparing it to the room? Seriously? The Room is an extremely awful movie with an extremely awful script with extremely awful acting and an extremely awful writer/director/producer. I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream is actually good.

    I know this is all from a stream they already did. But I really disliked that Jesse just looks everything up. What happen with you just doing it for one person? I came here to watch Jesse and Octo play a cool point and click game. And puzzle and talk out what's going out in the story. Not for you guys to read a guide.

      Of all the times to be eating, why do it during your job in which you’re recording yourself for an audience? It’s not like he streams 24/7, he could’ve ate before hand. It’s also rude to have someone munching in your ears for 15 minutes. Also, how are you gonna play nimdoks segment and react less hysterically to that than the word “chinaman”?

    No clue why you guys are losing your minds over Chinaman. We don't lose our minds over Englishman or Irishman...Christ sake it's even the name for a left-arm spin bowl in Cricket.

    • @Prelmable
      @Prelmable 6 лет назад +3

      Well, it's not Englandman or Irelandman. And it's not Chineseman. Do you see the difference, SnoutBaron?

    • @Himiko_Void
      @Himiko_Void 6 лет назад +5

      Yep, definitely what Prelmaple said. Also lol an English man and an Irish Man are Actual ways to describe someone. American man, Canadian man... whereas Canada man, America man, Japan man are not. China man is not a good way to refer to Chinese men, or a Chinese man.

      What are phonetics Prelmable? China + man goes together while Chinese + man doesn't. Can you hear the difference?
      >Also lol an English man and an Irish Man are Actual ways to describe someone.
      A K So is Chinaman...but apparently everything to Americans is racist. Why Chinaman is somehow more racist than Englishman, no one knows.

      SnoutBaron because Jesse was a history teacher and knows more than you

    • @SnoutBaron
      @SnoutBaron 6 лет назад +5

      A history teacher of what? "History teacher" doesn't mean the guy knows everything about all of history lmao. Americans are always so touchy about words. Chinaman is fine. You even had to start using words like POC. Black people in African countries don't even dance around the word, they call themselves....Black. I would know, because I live in an African country.

      "chinaman" see jessie you can say it! And you can quote me as saying this "Hong Kong has many friendly chinamen"

    • @avidwriter2882
      @avidwriter2882 6 лет назад +5

      Sure it is. However you can SAY A WORD. You know, cause it's a WORD. Fucking come off it. A word only has meaning or is hurtful if you let it!

    • @francescaortiz8375
      @francescaortiz8375 6 лет назад +14

      Yea no shit you can say anything, yea no shit it's a word *rolls eyes*. But it's a slur, the difference between you being not offended by "chinaman" and others being offended is that the word isn't targeted towards you. The word regardless of your perspective, has been used to oppress others.

      Funny Chinaman is racist but saying "a Chinese man" is PC.

      I live in a country with mostly Chinese people and all the friends I have find the term Chinaman to be extremely condescending. Kinda like the term whiteboy.
