Hi PJ. And thank you for the Chitubox link. I Installed it and can you believe it, the ring was even bigger there. The size was all, X,Y, and Z all over 60 mm. I got the ring in correct size by resizing it in Cura from 100% to 47%. Now when i printed the ring it was in correct size.
Hi Pj ! Thanks for all your tutorials! Very Helpful! I have a Question: when i do Surface from Network, on the bottom of the rings, it creates bad artifacts that i can't get rid of.. Any suggestion?
My version or the way I have it opened doesn't seem to have all the same windows showing for things like commands and layers. How can I get my version to look like yours to more easily follow the instructions?
Hi PJ Chen. I am an amateur with this program. I make silver rings as hobby and i want to cast a signet ring. Your video have been best here in RUclips, thank you for that. You had the circle size as 16mm in the beginning and i assume that is the size of the final ring size. I used 24mm so the ring would be bigger. I finally succeeded to do this ring in Rhino 6. Then i saved it as .STL file. Then i loaded the .STL file to Cura, 3D slicer but size of the ring there is, 53mm x 20mm x 58mm. So that is too big for a ring. What happened? What did i do wrong? Please help. Thank you.
I do not use Cura, but whenever you are import export the file in between two softwares, make sure both software are using the same unit. I am guessing you may have mm in Rhino and have inch in Cura.
@@PJChenJewelryDesign Thank you very much for instant reply. I had mm in both, Rino and Cura , although dimensions in Cura was bigger. Strange. I tried to scale the object in Cura 50% smaller and now it looks better. I hope i can come to a solution. Thank you.
Hi PJ. Thank you very much for the tutorial. I'm a little confused about why the letters need to be mirrored if the piece will be directly 3D printed. Isn't the printer gonna build the whole piece exactly as how it is on the screen?
Do I have to chamfer / fillet if I print a wax model ? Because some fillets are too small for printing so if they are done by hand, would it be better?
Hi again. I installed PrusaSlicer and imported the .STL to it, and guess what? The dimensions of the ring in PrusaSlicer was also 56mm x 30mm x 60mm Very weird.
These tutorials are the best! I'm self learning jewelry, and you are the best teacher I have
I'm so glad!

not sure what went wrong without seeing the model. but you may want to check on your curves. make sure all the endpoint touching endpoint
@@PJChenJewelryDesign it's like all isocurves, converged on one point on the bottom, causing a non linear shape of the bottom ring :O
hello please can you show us how to thicken the lines/curves when working its difficult to see them in rhino 8 they are same like the grid
you can check in Option-View-Display Modes. pick up a mode you like to change. click on object- curve and change scale from 1 to larger number
@@PJChenJewelryDesign many thanks, .❤
awsome i need to try this
When I try to split it says split failed object may not be within tolerance of one another

If your interface is different than mine. You may need to reset your toolbar. Type "toolbar" in command and "set defult"
Any chance its because I'm on a Mac? typing "toolbar" into command doesn't seem to do anything at all.@@PJChenJewelryDesign
@@shausen3 I think Option in PC is Setting in Mac. and you can find toolbar in there

why the fillet didnt work on the ring's edges??
Hi Charu, there are several reasons. you can check out my video "why do fillets not working?" at ruclips.net/video/iWIk4emlqf0/видео.html
Do I have to chamfer / fillet if I print a wax model ? Because some fillets are too small for printing so if they are done by hand, would it be better?
you don't have to do fillet if it is too small, because you will have the fillet when you polish the metal.
Oh now! where is the stamp?
super
Super!!
还是很想问问怎么制作印泥
你可以用圓球拉出你要的形狀。 然後再用Boolean difference 指令。 就可以了。

If both software you use is in mm. that is weird. I use Chitubox for slicing. www.chitubox.com/
