This is interesting, so I put it to test in the Training Room: All ships stopped, medium ranges (9.7km-17.2km), identical aim points with data sets matched with and without spotted range increase. Mecklenburg and Columbo used. In every case there was a small increase to accuracy due to the improved dispersion. Full range was 3.92% to 6.24% more hits. Also of note: bow in targets Mecklenburg’s dispersion scored higher hits than on broadside, whereas Columbo was marginally better with broadside targets. The bigger jumps were seen with broadside targets, which leads me to believe the horizontal dispersion improved slightly more than the vertical.
Good info for newer players. Most of the veterans know this. The shorthand is that the ships dispersion value is for the maximum range. So if you extend the range then the cone gets longer without the end getting larger. Basically stack range increases and then shoot targets that are 50-75% of your max range. You’re dispersion at max range doesn’t change, the cone just tightens up as you get closer.
Well I play G.K with range mod for a year now, clan mates were laughing when I told them that G.K now slaps.. well I showed them more then few times it actually works... devstriking DES, NEVSKY, MOSKVA, STALIN on 22km
GK is an odd duck in the German line. The German triple gun turrets are more consistent than the two gun turrets. You see it with Brandenburg and Scharnhorst as well. Range mod is the way if you aren’t playing something close up like brawls. If you’re up close, Legendary Mod is the best. 2v2 in Leg Mod GK should be a war crime lol.
There is little more about ship modules: IMHO Napoli works best with secondaries module, it is hit and run ship, not a sniper, also it usually use HE at range. The only benefit for range module is that you don't hurt your turret traverse speed when you get to brawling moment. Napoli doesn't benefit from sniping. Anyway secondaries do better. You can get increased range after kill on her if you have Sansonetti. Petropavlovsk has bad turret traverse so range module (together with grease gear skill) can help, but that 2km between 11 and 13 km better accuracy for reload? There is one more reality for Petro: It's concealment was nerfed so you can have 13,2km, while in most scenarios you wont be able to profit from 11-13km sniping accuracy (range module) boost. Many BBs have below 13,2 km concealment. Ability to faster switch between targets with range module vs reload module can change results too. US BBs range module in 3rd slot for your reason seems logical.
Good Analysis! Now its really up to the players what they would like to pick according to their play style. I have just shared knowledge that some individuals might not know about.
You didn't show it but in my Napoli it's block number six and the name of the mod is gunfire control systems 2 and adds 16% to the main guns range so I tried it and I think it went from 17 up to 19 kilometers range and the the distribution seems to be better I only played one game though I'll have to continue see how it works out but thanks for your advice and for looking into all this for us thanks again.
Remember that the noticable improvement will be more around 12-15km issh for Napoli as shown in the chart. Any more results would be great and valuable feedback from you so thank you. 👍
thanks for the info but why on, God's green earth would you want range on a, Napoli? Yes, it can sit bow in and tank but.... so can half the tier 10 cruisers in the game. Napoli's star is her secondaries. Arguably the best in the game. Combined with exhaust smoke and a team/division mate spotting, you are in, God mode. Giving, Napoli the range mod is like buying a three-legged racehorse.

Great video, with good visuals! Underrated channel for sure
Thanks for the feedback. I have some more interesting videos coming soon. 👍

It should be petro vs range, vs UU as a comparison
will try it
i tought you will start talking about the hidden changes, that WG did, to attract more ppl to play BBs again. but instead its just lessons for kids

The thing is you dont need range on Napoli. You wanna be close to enemy ships.

is it work on incomparable?? when i use range mod ??
Yes, It applies to all Battleships. Incomparable with spotter and range will definitely get some better vertical dispersion.
@@uravgwargamer3300 so more Vertical dispersion is more better ?? i was thinking more less dispersion both H or v is better !!!!
@@ossamafayez vertical dispersion will get better
logical
Does the accuracy increase due to greater vertical shell grouping at longer ranges?
