      Do they loosen up across the toes with more wear?

      **update gave them away after 5-6 wears, way too tight across my wide fore foot. 😢

    Just ordered a pair sized up as no half sizes. Hopefully go good, I found the vans old school pros to be too narrow in my size aswell seems the shoes are getting smaller

    Barbarics barefoot shoes are worth checking out for daily wear that have vans aesthetic. 4mm sole thickness. North Sole insoles are a nice option if wanting a bit more cushion with barefoot shoe.
    Another daily wear to check out is Bahé revive barefoot grounding sneaker. 4 mm outsole, 2.5 mm lugs, removable insole 3 mm. I have yet to test them out. On my next shoe purchase list. My barefoot shoe venture has gotten costly.

    Toe box is way too narrow. I have normal width feet but I only wear wide Van's (which still isn't perfect but better). If Van's would fix their toe box, they would be the next best thing to barefoot shoes.

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  4 месяца назад +2

      FACTS. That's my constant gripe with them. Currently testing the Crosspaths and same ish. Make the box wider, dangit

      I am glad I am not the only one that felt this way. I thought I was going crazy since I have a million other pairs of the regular ultrarange shoes and have never had an issue with the width. I love the comfortablness of this shoe other than the toe box especially on my left foot. ANNOYING!

    Is there a way to accurately know the heel to toe drop? I have this shoe and my feet don’t hurt when I wear them at work which is great, but they’re too narrow. I’d like to get another shoe that has a similar drop or lack of drop.

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  4 месяца назад

      It's tough, I've scoured the internet and have hit their support with no luck. Butttt, based on my shoddy measurements and knowledge of Vans, it's likely 0-3mm. Think if you grab any shoe marketed as zero-drop or has a drop under 4mm then you'd prob be safe!

    I just got mine today and they unfortunately didnt fit. I tried on the ultrarange exo in a 13 and they fit really well so I was hopeful the neo vr3 would too. Sadly, the 13 feels way smaller in this shoe than the exo and they dont make a 14. 😥

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  3 месяца назад

      Dang…yeah, these I always go a half size up in. Idk why vans want to make some models so dang narrow. It’s wicked frustrating because the fits are meh then

    Guess i could give these a try since you said they will be good for narrow feet and I’m a B in width lol but would these be good since I kinda over pronate and I have been having some knee problems with my left knee? I did get a mri done and I didn’t tear anything it’s just this over pronation causing the pain and shin splints pain now

      @@MarsSennin well I’ve just been doing regular leg lifts while sitting in a chair or just trying to some calf stretches and keep my quads loose also. My plan is to start working out soon because at times it’s like my knee feels tired and they had me wearing a compression sleeve but that made it worse so the pain is gone but my knee still doesn’t feel 100% yet

      They may work for that - def hit a mall and try em' on beforehand if you can since you have a pretty specific ask here.
      Dudes, another suggestion for y'all - and take this at face value since I obv haven't seen y'all move/know the exact discomfort you have with your knees - but I'd spend a lot of time also strengthening your adductors/hammies. That may help mitigate the issues you're feeling with the knees. Victim is very rarely the culprit!
      Doing things like more single-leg RDLs/deads, hamstring curls, Copenhagens - while also working hip mobility would help a ton, imo, or at least be worth adding in at volume for a few weeks.
