What attracts your core loyal followers (I Believe) is how personable and down-to-earth you are. You talk TO us not just AT us. You respond to our comments (Might get harder as the numbers go up) and you truly care what your audience thinks. This core group is just going to continue to grow. Best wishes in 2024!
Thank you so much!! I genuinely appreciate your comments on my videos as they’re always encouraging to keep me going! I definitely try my best to talk in my videos like I’m talking to a friend so I’m glad it’s not going unnoticed!
I had a video go viral for me and it’s really changed my channel and my business. One other downfall is the aweful comments that can come with it. Luckily Iv been in business a ling time and have developed some thick skin along the way. I think I found your channel from that video but I also enjoy your wellness content too.
I’ve had some super rude comments on my viral video as well. I’ve definitely learned to take it all with a grain of salt and have some thick skin. It really doesn’t bother me as much on the viral video because I know I cannot please thousands of people. It does bother me more though on a video with like 500 views haha.
@@jessssalemme I get it! I started my channel a year ago, I did good and got a few videos up but then dang life for me got soooo busy with 2 kiddos under 2 and a working mom so it’s tough to stay consistent 😮💨 I want to pick it back up but it’s finding the little windows of time that’s hard for me.
I totally get that. I’m sorry life got in the way! Make a small and achievable goal for yourself, like just posting 1 video per month or something like that. You got this ❤
Thanks for sharing how it feels about becoming viral and how inconsistent revenue can be here. This is not talked by many RUclipsrs while it is the reality. You are a living example that opening a YT channel requires a lot of work but that after just a year it is possible to make a source of income out of it! Very inspiring :)
It sure is!! Let’s hope so! Would love to have something within a different niche pop off this year to help my channel/subscribers be a little more well rounded!
RUclips recommended me your monetization video (likely because I'm a baby RUclipsr as well, so I'm curious about the road to monitzation), which led me to watch some more of your videos because your calm, soothing voice. I'm curious as to what you used to film and edit your videos in the beginning as well as where you get copyright free music and things like that vs what you do now!
Thanks for sticking around! and I’m so glad you enjoy my voice and presence in my videos! I made a video on this topic a couple of months ago which I’ll link here, I discuss what I first used to start my channel vs what I use today so I hope this helps! ruclips.net/video/PpItXzTuyBc/видео.htmlsi=cBl2rqr5ePwP41Qy
This happened to me THIS WEEKEND with a Short that got a million views. I got monetized yesterday, but I know most of those subs won’t watch my long format videos 😅
@@jessssalemme true! I definitely agree with what you said about the # of subs making you more trustworthy so now hopefully when people find my mom/lifestyle content they’ll be more likely to subscribe!
Hi Jess 🙂 I have been watching you for 10 months now. I don't particularly want to watch an i-phone unboxing but I would watch one if you made one. You make a range of videos and I like to hear about your day, week, ideas, and your pregnancy journey, of course. With the world going as it is these days, I want to watch videos that help me NOT think about the world in 2024 and instead watch something entertaining.
it's hard not to make a "this background is fake" or a "how youtube changed my life with less than 300 subscribers" video when i want to be monetized and have 1k subs, but i know that even though those videos will likely "pop off", they're gonna bring the wrong kind of subscribers. they won't care about the dental hygiene school journey, so i'll have 1k+ subs and hardly any views on my videos 😑
I agree. While I’m so grateful that I was able to get monetized and make income from RUclips, the trade off is what my subscribers care about. I still post the content I like to make (like days in my life) and just sort of expect them to not do as well. I still feel financial wellness is a part of who I am and what I want to talk about on my channel so I don’t necessarily “regret” that video but it does sort of suck when majority of my subs only care about one topic. Keep grinding on the videos you WANT to post and stick to your niche and eventually you’ll get momentum. You got this! 👏🏼

What’s great about this channel is the variety of different content.
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoy the variety! 😊 happy Monday!
I agree! (And I think that’s about every other of my comments on here 😊)
can’t wait to watch you more Jess and absolutely love this video
thank you so much!
Its crazy how much a single viral video can alter the trajectory of your youtube channel!
That and just help you get tons of momentum!

I’ve been with you since the very beginning of your journey and I have loved all your content girl! You just keep going 💖🥂
Thank you! Super encouraging to hear this as I’ve definitely been feeling discouraged lately!

@@jessssalemme Well I feel like a dingus lol. I thought I was giving you an idea. I'll give that video a watch! Good luck growing your channel.
Thanks for being so transparent and giving us the BTS data and analytics

Haha the algorithm is wild!! But at least now you’ll get paid for views going forward!! ❤

So cool to see how much can change in a year!
It is wild lol
I have a somewhat viral video of my own, which has significantly more views than the rest. The algorithm works in strange ways.
It sure is strange! But always nice when it happens 😅

Hahaha I don’t plan to do any iPhone unboxings but I’m glad to know you’d still watch! Thank you for the continual support, it means a lot!!
Over 600K views is definitely going viral in my book
And still getting views 🤯

I love this sit down chat about going viral 🫶🏼 it was interesting to hear your perspective on the “good” and “bad”
So glad you enjoyed! 💗
