That's what u call as a typical Attache video - deep, beautiful and unique. This video has healed me completely from the wound which I received from the previous video.
Vancouverite here. Here are my additional notes to anyone care to read this: -It rains a lot here, so dress appropriately -Driving sucks, but the public transit system should be more than enough for any tourists to get around. -Vancouver is a safe city. The notorious East Hastings always have police on every block, and even if you end up in working class suburbs such as Surrey or Langley, I doubt anything is going to happen to you unless you intentionally seek trouble -Restaurants in the tourist areas such as Downtown or Granville Island (shown in this video) are legit but slightly more expensive. -Because Vancouver is so multicultural, we have some of the best dim sum anywhere. There’s also plenty of ethnic festivals in the summer. -Most “actions” happen in Downtown and the areas surrounding it. -But do get out of the city as there’s plenty of natural playgrounds (skiing in Whistler, hiking in the mountains, surfing in Tofino) for you to explore.
Good to visit but way too expensive to live. House prices are outrageous. I live in Canada in the eastern part. I can't even buy a plane ticket...too expensive. It would be at 600$ not including the accommodation. Which is sad 😔
sng1867 it certainly does not rain much in summer, most rain occurs November to March. We do live in a rain Forest area. Rain is only water and it really does not hurt. This gives us our beautiful greenery. We obviously do not get enough in summer, hence forest forest fires. People forget we need rain. Embrace it. At least we do not have to shovel it and we do not live in -15C in winter.
I was born in Vancouver and now live elsewhere. Not only has the city grown exponentially since I've been gone I still love to take a deep breath of fresh air upon arrival. It's quit unique.
I really, really, really appreciate how you go over the transportation in your videos. Super helpful and cuts the anxiety of a solo traveler like me :) Thank you for another awesome destination!
mojo483 the vibe, the architecture of the city, the long days with daylight, the airport (what a proper f’in airport), The automated Rapid Transit system, the hospitality of the people for starters. I can’t wait to go back. Just got to figure out how I’m going to get it done.
Alex, thank you for visiting Vancouver, B.C. Always enjoy watching your travel show. No one does a travel review of a city like you. Would like to see more reviews of the various cities you travel to.
Fantastic video! I love visiting Vancouver! Vancouver is probably the largest international destination in the PNW, but I'd love to see you visit my hometown Seattle and our neighbors to the south in Portland sometime.
Never clicked on a video so fast and Greg, You don't get to talk :P LOL. I never thought you could make beautiful cinematic in rainy day, great job man. Sea side cities are always so gorgeous like my Mumbai :P
Ha, thanks so much! And no, Greg is not allowed to talk...people find his voice distressing in public places so we have an agreement in place. (I'm kidding.)
@@gregbarnes6203 there an idea how you can speak, make a RUclips channel explaining the behind the scenes and how you edit the episodes. Kind of like behind the scenes but for filmmakers. I bet you are thinking about it aren't you 🤔🤗😛😜😏😏

Alex, I totally forgot about the book so I just bought it. What region can we expect next for Vol. 2 and any updates as to when it will be available? I know it takes a while to collect the info but I'm just curious
Thanks for buying the book, Abe. We're trying to figure out if there's sufficient demand for future volumes and if there is, what changes people might want to the format.
If I ever get to visit Canada I would choose between Banff and lakes or Quebec. Those places would give me most satisfaction. If tipping is essential in the service industry then bonus should be achievable in all low paid professions.
my French is not that great actually, I am saying that there is not enough fun atmosphere for youth in Montreal. but Canada is one of my greatest spot its live its green and beautiful.
This video gave me anthony bourdain vibes..especially the food part. Bit different from your other travel guides... but very good 👍🏼. I love the aerial shots of the city.
Possibly, Vancouver's dry season usually lasts for about 4 months b/w May/June till September. The rest of the year is more or less like in the video ;)
Another amazing video as always you guys, I have to get outta Toronto soon, it's a little overrated and cramped if I'm being honest, and expensive hahaha!
I'm thinking of visiting Vancouver in September . So it's easy to get around .. How many days is enough to see Vancouver also including a day trip to Whistler.
I would highly recommend tourists who are here for fixed number of days to just buy day pass everyday. for $10 you can use all skytrain, seabus & bus facilities.
People say it's expensive to live in Van, I recently visited there for 3 weeks in an Airbnb in Yaletown and it wasn't that expensive. I found the food to be pretty well priced, even at fancy restarants and transport is very cheap. I rented a mustang and drove up to whistler and went on a 4 hour quad ATV ride in the mountains! Hands down one of the most fun things i've ever done in my life 😀
CryptoJackhousing is crazy because of Asian realtors who come. Most people can no longer afford to live in the nicer areas like kerrisdale kits, West point grey . Because instead of raising wages to the housing price increases which aren’t natural, people just had to move more and more east
That wasn't a compass card, that was a fare ticket- the compass card he is talking about are blue (sometimes green) and are a hard credit card plastic. but the rest of the info is correct
I just wanna request kinda something! You make great travel vlogs and it served me a lot of information about different places and their culture so I just wanted to request if you can make a vlog in India also I want people to know about India also, so please visit India specially In Delhi
servers that serve alcohol are paid under minimum wage because it's assumed that they will be tipped. it's stupid, but real. so if you don't tip, your server is being underpaid for serving you. it's a hidden tax because every price on a menu is at least 15% more than the price listed because it's expected that you tip. For non-posh restaurants, it's not mandatory though
When it comes to tipping if using the percentage...do NOT click 20% unless the service was unbelievably good because the % is on the WHOLE bill which has taxes and if you had a few beer, a bottle of wine and/or cocktails those taxes add up and why tip on taxes! If you do click the % an amount of the tip will appear and I believe you can change it, or if you have to click cancel and start again 😉

sng1867 -
Hi, I am from Surrey / Langley area. Do you even know where Langley or Surrey is? - what a crap comment - typical Vancouverite' s ignorance.
