Even if you assume that, some of the hackers in these videos have about 10 game bans they spend a fuck ton. Assuming hackers get a 50% discount (15$) and accounting for how much hacks cost (40$ a month. Some hacks are 30 on the cheap end, and 50 on the high end.), the average hacker would be spending an estimated 630$ every year just to hack in Rust. Almost 1k each year. Insanity. Removing the hacker's claim on "discounted" games makes it worse, and we're only assuming they get banned 10 times. They for sure have more.
I'll never get over the fact that hackers think it's okay to hack because "it's just a game" but also get upset when an admin "admin abuses" them in something that is, "just a game"

suggestion :) delete all the loot in their chests and leave a message with a signature "thanks for the loot, find me if you can! Timmy" in the weapon chest or one they open regularly. make noise for them to equip themselves once they find the message put them in a chair and tell them Timmy reported them for stealing all his stuff going through his walls
Admins and known players should create soundboards of each other and use them to absolutely confuse cheaters. Confront them and when they say, 'I know who you, you're Camomo!' You would then bust out a soundboard of someone else and completely confuse them.
Tens of thousands depending on the game. Many devs keep records and release the number of banned accounts which is probably just the low hanging fruit. I looked this up quickly to give you an idea "On September 1, Raven Software revealed in a new tweet that 50,000 new accounts were banned in the latest wave of bans, bringing the total to around 800,000 accounts Banned Warzone".

As an aspiring developer I must admit I adore it when animations overwrite how fast one can shoot a weapon that is only supposed to shoot once, it's not always present but it's funny to see when it is, unless that's just an admin tool command that prevents it?

What you could do is make a "cactus trap" punishment in which the cheater is surrounded by cacti. Or any equivilent of. Just, tight enough that they don't take damage, but simply moving will get them killed.
Imagine playing rust to get bullied by a cheater then purchase cheats to fight back against the cheater just for both of you to get banned. I bet you it's happened
