Hi.. me again asking for additional information :).. How will we know that we're ready for the Epic? How can we measure our fitness versus what's expected from us? We haven't done a stage race ever.. but we do have a training plan, a coach, etc. But how can we access our readiness? Once we're there I get the tips and are precious. But before.. how do we know?.
Tough one… but Roughly, at a quick calculation, if you can do 3x consecutive days of 4hours plus riding with 20-25 meters per kilometer climbing at around 12km/h avg speed with your average heart rate being in zone 3 for each ride, then you could possibly finish in the top 75% of the field.
