- India has experienced a climate-related disaster nearly every day in the first nine months of 2023. From heat waves, and cyclones, to heavy rain, and landslides. Globally, energy transition seems to be a solution where replacing fossil fuel with cleaner forms of energy, such as renewables, fission, fusion, etc. And we’re here to debate about which route to take!
We speak about one of the most pressing issues of our time with Navroz Dubash, a leading researcher and the lead author of the Sixth Assessment of the IPCC, a paper based on which governments of different countries decide on how they want to tackle climate change. Bhumi Pednekar, a climate warrior and actor dedicated to raising awareness and investing in climate solutions; Sunita Narain, an environmentalist addresses climate change from a grassroots and policy level & Mirik Gogri, a technologist exploring innovative energy solutions.
We are in a world that is currently experiencing its hottest year. In this episode, we discuss the best ways forward and break down myths about climate change

I personally admire your podcast a lot like so many other people.
My take is that you need to stick to the guests who are related to the field only. I mean why would I or anyone go to Bhumi Pednekar Pednekar to ask about a climate change solution.
I really want you to invite women (not B town ones), the ones who are working in the specific industry. I am pretty much sure that your team can find such people.
Also, ask about simple solutions of the problem also on beginner level. Like something which would appeal to mass audience.
Loads of love to you and your skills. You know that you have a convincing skill power. It is like indirect selling. Not talking about selling something but still selling. Through these podcasts you are selling knowledge that too for free. :)) ❤❤❤

@@mytho_raj Answer me quite honestly. Do you think that there are not enough people who are genuinely doing a great job by working towards climate change on ground level full time? She must be doing it but don't forget the passion and causes which people create for climate change. She is a B-town person, must be doing a great job but it is important to put a light on those heroes who are genuinely fighting for this cause since forever.

Such a turn off seeing Bhumi in the panel
In the current scenario, we are trying to figure out climate change, but I think we are going on the wrong path of climate correction because we think if we work on renewable energy, it's a great initiative, but our major focus is on technologies, so we do it fast, but it's taking a decade, so according to me, if we work on natural processes, then we will definitely heal the climate from its origin and it's take time.
I'm 100% sure, bhumi will bring Femnism topic in between environment

We need to reduce per capita consumption and avoid unnecessary stuffs also shifting to energy efficienct appliances and solar.
Are you crazy? India has one of the lowest per capita consumption. And millions of people die becuase or lack of access to energy.

@mytho_raj Im sure she does all that. So does the aunty who stays next to my house. But is that enough to be called here. Just consider the profile of other guests who came to this show previously. There are so much worthy people who should be considered. I will listen to a 20 sec shorts of Bhumi. But can't watch her for an hour and more on climate change. WTF went for a mass appeal, but the USP of the show was based on calling guests whoa rr nothing less than experts of their area.
