I think she's still working on it. She does come off as forcing the edginess a bit. She's one of those comedians who starts out really strong, with a very distinct voice, but if she sticks with it, in five years she's gonna be so natural with this stuff, it's gonna be next level. I first heard her on Mike Birbiglia's podcast, and the person on that show is even funnier and more poignant than the person onstage. Part of the fun of watching a talented comedian evolve is seeing them become themselves onstage.

Either way, she was really funny (especially as female comics often struggle with her style of comedy). That's all I mean. She deserved more laughs but it was like she was in a room of people who forgot that comedy is an escape from reality, and sometimes it is a good way to look at the hard parts of life and transform them into something less painful as well as more enjoyable.
@Johnny Courtemanche She didn't seem to need any support, just seemed like nobody was catching most of her more well-versed jokes. As I have said, comedy is about taking the grim parts of life and turning them into something that can make you smile. She did it really well and I could watch her regularly if this is her style. There is too much pussyfooting in modern comedy; she is right out there with it which I think a lot of us can value.
