this brings me to tears, knowing that he doesn’t feel so in touch with certain sides of himself, and he longs to be that perfect persona. he has a lot of pressure on him at such a young age, i wish people could chill and respect that he is human and can make mistakes
the fact that he's even afraid on going live because of that breaks my heart. its like his heart is saying "go wild, meet your fans, love" but at the same time he's also conscious of the consequences, leading him to take a step back. Jk is a really free spirited guy, and as fans it hurts seing him with like that.
Being a young famous artist comes with many sacrifices - the biggest is losing your childhood. I think that is why some end up being rebellious. But I hope as he matures, he learns to do what makes him happy.

I feel like you're so right about this. People do need to understand that he's human and mistakes are perfectly normal since no one is perfect but I also feel like he has to learn this and apply this to his lifestyle( if he hasn't already). I hear a lot that people need to chill on him and stop pressuring and all. That of which I agree with but I wonder if anyone truly knows how he feels about the pressure and what he does to manage it. There will be people out there, especially being a famous person like himself, that will continue to pressure and prod at him and his mistakes. It is, however, up to him how he takes it, (whether he takes it to heart or at face value). Face value being an opinion of someone that doesn't know him like he knows himself, but gave their opinion (which is of their own right to have one) and to heart being a statement that he lets affect his mood, opinion of himself and perception of his life. Being a celebrity isn't easy, especially when he became one and trained to be one so young, but its part of the job to be judged. He, however, always has the power in the situation because he chooses what affects him emotionally, mentally, and so on. I think we should have more faith in Jungkook. I believe he's stronger than we give him credit for. He knows he's not perfect and he knows that army doesn't expect him to be because they fell in love with him and bts because they are relatable and inspiring. This is my opinion tho🤷 I just think its all on JK's perspective what he chooses to do with the judgement of others and pressures of wanting to deliver onto Army the type of person he thinks we expect him to be

I agree, I think he wrote this as a spur of the moment, it’s unlikely he’ll release it now because it’s likely he’s moved on from these strong emotions he was facing at the time. I can imagine he, now, wouldn’t want to go back to it unless something similar happens again. For him releasing music like this is therapy, we don’t want to pressure him and make his earnest emotions a chore or something we want him to replicate when the moment has passed. Just like how the rap line no longer want to release Cypher because they’ve released the love yourself series and no longer think it’s necessary. As much as I’d love a longer version, this shortened unfinished one is beautiful in its own way. And in no way needs a sister song to make it stand on its own. Just a lil food for thought. @@nimekth8233 it’s like a way for them to close a chapter, for us it’s easier to say we close a chapter when we finish school, end a relationship or get a job, but for BTS, who’s lives are so much more fast paced, it’s a healthy way for them to project their thoughts, feels and emotions and enter new realms of thinking and perspectives. It’s the epitome of vulnerability, powerfulness and dedication. They’re such an inspiration!
Okay I won't lie *crying emoji .I was like everyone else who really wanted Jung kook to release the full version of this song because it's just so magical. But I understand what you guys mean and are explaining that it is best to close a chapter like how he did instead of trying to go back and reminisce those feels or emotions that are not longer because they are already moved pass. Jungkook wrote this song about himself when he wasn’t doing well, the lyrics are so deep, he talks about watching himself smiling and being happy and the perfect person whom everyone loves while he is hurting inside. He is insecure about himself and feels like he is never been that perfect person who’s good at everything, and most of us relate to this because at the end of the day we all are fragile human beings with feelings, no matter how successful you are or how many friends you have you will feel insecure , it’sin human nature to doubt yourself. And we can’t really blame him to feel bad about himself when he has so many people who love him, sometimes no matter how many people tell you that you’re perfect and you’re beautiful it won’t make us feel better. This song feels so personal to him and if he doesn’t release the full version I won’t be upset because we got to hear a small part that portraits his vulnerable side and tells us that sometimes he feels sad too and you’re not alone.
That's why this song hits so hard to me.. it shows the vulnerable Jungkookie.. we don't know what he had gone through that time.. but the pain can be felt through his voice.. I just want him to be happy, healthy & confident.. He deserves all the happiness in the world

The meaning behind this song is in the meaning of the word decalcomania. “The art or process of transferring pictures and designs from specially prepared paper” basically jungkook is saying that he wants to be as perfect as he appears through the screen, he feels in reality and off screen he isn’t perfect like how we see him on screen

Whenever I listen to this, I feel like crying , but It doesn’t wanna come out.
I respect the fact that he deleted the files.. This song required him to be in a dark state of mind.
I love this JK more than the screen one. I wish I can just hug him, the 15 year-old boy whose life has changed forever. The little teenager who couldn't even be himself.
It's the fact that he's imperfect that makes him perfect to me.
I dislike when people say that JK is good at everything, I mean of course, if he tried he would be excellent in everything, but I guess we need to give him some rest. I am someone like jungkook so honestly I can feel this on a very personal level. You know people are so used to see me as someone who is practically good at everything as if it's my luck but no , no one knows I suffer on a deeper level with myself as if these are two different people in the same body and I feel like I can't connect myself to the other side of me which is very good at doing stuffs , I don't feel happy when I accomplish something and I feel like I haven't done anything, at some it helps me to do a lot of things but at one point it also gets tiring to do everything and still feel like you haven't done shit . I am too used to show my perfect side that sometimes I forget that a not-so-perfect side of me exists too . It isn't something heartbreaking, it's just frustrating and simply sad . I know I have struggled too much with anything and everything from the start. what everyone sees is the result but no one really gets it if I say that I have struggled a lot both mentally and physically . There's always this pressure which damages me but helps me improve. I've always wished that the real me could be atleast 10% like the perfect me . I found the correct word now , it's decalcomania. I want to be my decalcomania.

I can't relate to you but I can clearly understand what you're feeling and to be honest , have confidence . Even when everyone is looking down upon you , show them that you're not insecure and you know even if that confidence is fake, don't let someone mess up with your head . Fake it till you make it . There must be something that you can do , even if you deny it a lot it's true that everyone is good at something , you just need to push a little harder and don't give up . I always aim for perfection even when I know how toxic it is for me . this is the most beautiful piece of music i have very listened to in my entire life. now, knowing that he deleted the files of the full song, idk it just made me feel so type of way and i know that no one's reading this comment rn but i may as well just share what I've done bc why not be stupid. i always listen to this, particularly when i'm sad or angry, basically it soothes me. because i listen to it so much, i subconsciously started creating my own lyrics and tune. it has been nearly 2 months now, and i have my own, full version of decalcomania. it has the same tune, the song is based off the same concept and i managed to record myself singing the whole thing and created the tune on an app. so yeah, i have my own version of decalcomania...i just wanted to share this with the 0.01% of ppl who would actually be bothered enough to read it. anyways, to anyone reading this comment, i hope you have an amazing day :) btw if your wondering- my version is about 3 minutes long

Never in my hole life before I started crying after i listend to a song soooo bad... I can´t explain it, but this song hits different.. I know now, that he doesn´t have the lyrics anymore and I can totally understand it, because this song has one of the most clearest and honest lyrics and sounds I´ve ever heard before ... it must be hard to felt like that, because there are a lot of people who want to be treated like him and there are more people who think that they know him.... It must be a hard life, even if he has a lot of money and success. I feel so sorry for him and know after I listened to this song I feel sorry for myself, too. And now he deleted all the files. Positively it might be that he got over this feeling and doesn't want to go back/doesn't want anything attached to him from that time. What I'm thinking though, is that this song must be ridiculously hard to finish. He probably felt pressure to finish it and, knowing that he's a perfectionist and doesn't want anything out there unless he thinks it's perfect, he probably fell so deep in his own head to make it perfect (as this seems like a very personal and emotionally important song to him) that it did more harm than good for him, mentally. People have been practically begging for this song to be finished. Even if he chose not to finish it people probably wouldn't stop begging for him to finish it. I guess this was just a way for him to give closure to those feelings and for him to make it clear for everyone that he isn't going to finish it, i guess he didn't want everyone to continuously get their hopes up. It also might be that he was just too insecure about it, too in his head with all the details to make a song as important like this as perfect as possible. Which really hurts to see. Jungkook's biggest judge is himself. He grew up in bts being known as the golden maknae, "who does everything right and is perfect at everything he does". Imagine how much pressure comes with that.. It is sad because he doesn't know how talented he is, and how much of a great human being he is. He's perfectly imperfect. But everyone saying he's perfect and all, though meant kindly, probably get him even sadder. It must be crushing to have this image of you held by millions and knowing that the label requires him to be this person, but he knows that is not who he really is and doesn’t believe he deserves the admiration ARMY gives him. So sad. He is enormously talented, but not perfect and that is OK!! I wish ARMY would love him and support the real JK: a human being, a young man. Love this song so much! It´s so relatable because everything in the world is so ´´big´´ and you lost yourself quickly. This song is like a blanket that keeps you warm. Jungkook songs are always so good. I don´t know whether it will be good when we would have the orignal length of this song or not because maybe it wouldn´t give us the same raw energy.
