I can't believe that some people react so negatively. I would love to see the folk that are attacking John for quitting go through the process. TV viewers only see a small amount of what went on. I also am shocked that some folk seem to attack him for speaking in a Scottish accent. He has always talked in a Scottish accent with family and friends and obviously feels comfortable to do so in this interview. As far as John speaking about himself in third person, illeism is something used to give yourself distance and also is a rhetorical device to try to give your words an air of objectivity. He may have also tried to distance himself from the pain.

He's not half. He was born and raised in Scotland his family is Scottish. He moved to America at 8 got bullied for his accent so he started to speak American. But that doesn't make him half he's just a Scotsman who also has an American citizenship 😊

The only reason this was dragged up again, is because the Noel Clarke allegations came out (which were FAR worse) and an old video of Clarke talking G about Barrowman doing this resurfaced.
