Kid puts out banger after banger and I'd recommend pretty much anything by him. Oh and the "bat" is Kira's mascot called the Leggy Chicken. It's supposed to be a baby chicken with human legs. Weird but somehow cute. Um, this is kind of disjointed but I hope it makes sense. First, the vocalsynth community isn't just fans, it's where the producers come from, too. All the music played at the concerts is from the community itself. So, you know how there are some artists or particular songs that really speak to you as a person? Art that really reaches your heart, lets you know that there's someone else out there who feels the same way you do. You know what I'm talking about. Now, imagine that there was one artist who was somehow able to speak to anyone that way. With the music coming from the community itself, that's what Miku has become. So here is this "person" who isn't real, but still will always understand how you feel, and will exist forever as she is now. She won't grow up, but she also won't flame out, get addicted to drugs and arrested for a DUI. She will always love you, never judge you, and will forever encourage you to be a better person. I hope this gives you an idea of why the vocalsynth community is so passionate and why people love Miku so much.

passerby here, was just looking up this song to listen to and found this! interesting that you should bring up porter robinson's Shelter! the voicebank he used in that song, Gumi, is another "virtual diva" that reached popularity alongside Miku. the main difference iirc is that UTAU, the program needed to run Gumi, is free, where Miku is very much not. there are a ton of songs where people have them duet together! you may have already moved past this look into vocaloid culture, but songs like ECHO (ft. Gumi) by Crusher-P can give you a cool little look into what artists were doing with Gumi prior to Porter Robinson.

Gumi isn't free and isn't an UTAU, she's also a Vocaloid used in the vocaloid synthesizer :)
