Yes I think they were from Hanoi, from what I have experienced a lot of the younger generation in Laos now speak mandarin more than English maybe it’s the same now in Vietnam. A lot of business and tourist comes from China but Russian? I don’t know maybe if they were from Nha trang 😂

Reason is people in the South tend to be close to western culture, the North is more close to China, Russia, Cuba, North Korea lol 😂
