Some people really don't know that you are not allowed to use your own bank account to do money transactions for other people. Everybody has heard the word "money laundering", but not everybody knows that this is what you are doing when you are accepting money from somebody else to hand over to a third party.
I asked the same question couple months ago when an old lady in her 60s gave away her life savings (around 100k in conversion) to a scammer pretending to be JD. A minor detail, this happened in Brazil.

When she found out through Catfished that he was a scammer, but that there WAS a plastic surgeon whose name and picture he used, she wanted the real plastic surgeon to be on the show, to "Give HIS input; to tell HIS 'side' of the story."
It was so odd, as he HAD no side of the story! He was a victim of the scammer same as HER.

Some people really don't know that you are not allowed to use your own bank account to do money transactions for other people. Everybody has heard the word "money laundering", but not everybody knows that this is what you are doing when you are accepting money from somebody else to hand over to a third party.

She must have had help. A lot of help.
