I appreciate the suggestion! I don't have a tutorial about linking Excel spreadsheets yet, but I have added it to my list. I do already have one for inserting linked PowerPoint slides: ruclips.net/video/peT_8aJ7du8/видео.html. Thank you for watching!
Thank you so much for showcasing the tips. I've got Office 365 and turned it into the new UI, but could you tell me what that diamond symbol stands for ? because I don't have it in my newest version.
Thank you so much for watching! The diamond opens a dialog box called "My Benefits," which basically just advertises other features in the Microsoft 365 subscription. I have noticed that it comes and goes on my copy of Word.
Perfect. Just what I was looking for. I only wish "colorful" meant that we could choose from an array of colors rather than standard blue, but it's better than grey! I particularly noted the tip about being able to have a white page in Dark mode, and I think I'll try that later :o)
Is there any way to use colorful mode (wherein the tool bar is bright blue and then choose dark gray for the body of the page? Also, is there a light gray option?
Thank you for watching! As far as I know, we can't currently combine the Colorful mode and the Dark Gray mode, nor is there a light gray option. I do have a tutorial showing how to change the background color of the page itself (not the interface), which you may find helpful: ruclips.net/video/qgLYXn_Xc3o/видео.html. I wish you all the best!
Thanks, the background ribbon color is back to original blue. White on White is too hard on the eyes, not sure which genius thought of that option and which genius approved it...
How can I change the color of the area OUTSIDE the document in print view -- to a calm blue, for instance, or any color? All that is available is dark gray, black, white, and colorful.. Colorful does not change the color outside the document area.
That is a great question! Unfortunately, I don't believe Word offers a way to change the interface to a specific color such as blue. I hope Microsoft provides that option in the future!
That is a very interesting question! Unfortunately, after doing some research, I wasn't able to find a way to change the color of the ruler independently of the rest of the interface. If I stumble upon a solution, I will be sure to post something about it. I wish you all the best with your Word project!
Thank you for watching! I'm not privy to why Microsoft allows only specific colors for their interfaces. However, I encourage you to leave feedback through Word's interface if you would like a specific color.
Thank you for watching! Have you selected "Black" in the Word Options dialog box? It should appear after that selection has been made if you have Word for Microsoft 365.
Great question! To use dark mode in Word for Mac, you first have to turn on dark mode in MacOS: Settings > General > Appearance > Dark. Back in Word, you can then select Word menu > Preferences > General to access the dark mode options in the Personalize section.
Damn this video was great but now that Microsoft has decided to ruin words colours for us all its pretty useless. You have options of White (if you want to be blinded by light), blue (if you want white with some colour), Dark grey (lies its really light grey) & black (too dark & contrasting) & a secrete one where you can have dark mode with a white page but the contrast between them kills you. I want the old dark grey it was perfect it wasn't too bright & wasn't too dark but now ugh I hate Microsoft for the changes.

@@erinwrightwriting yes I did, but no black canvas only surroundings is in black mode. Messages in outlook are in black mode…
