I just would to make a comment regarding the compression force due to concrete where in your video @15:06 you have bd(0.85f'cβc). but actually is not d that you should multiply with the width of the column, b. Its actually the value of "a" only to make your compression force equal to 0.85f'c(a)b and since a=βc, the resulting compression force due to concrete will become only equal to 0.85f'c(βc)b. and another thing, from the ACI318-14 and NSCP2015, its already 0.65 reduction factor for tied rectangular column and not 0.70.

Well explained sir. I'm trying to formulate the exact graph for the interaction diagram regardless how many bars are present, but it's very very complex. It all comes back to these basic points of consideration for the simplicity of solution. Tanong ko lang sir for point C - pure moment. Should that be c & a = 0? The stress/strain diagram will be a triangle with pure tension only moment about the outermost fiber of concrete. Iniisip ko po kasi sir yung condition to get that c & a value. Tyia sir
I think yung pure moment means, Pn=0. Hence, there should be resisting force against tension steel so a and c has a value po. Ang di ko lang maalala is kung bakit dinisregard yung compression steel, as if designing a singly reinforced beam, altho this is conservative naman.

Please discuss how to design composite column. Thanks and more power.
Sige po isasama natin sa list yan
Galing

I suggest gamitan nyo ng chemical bolt drill at least 200mm for each vertical bar. Thanks
