Well really takes me back in time. My first ride in a rig was a 69 Brockway tow truck!!! Man it was so sweet, 10 speed, 2-20 Cummings road ranger.. Straight pipes! Boy was she loud.. Wish it had a Jake brake back then but she didn't. Well thanks for video it really made my day, made me think about my dad who passed away Years ago....👍
Love old trucks, especially wreckers. 🥰 I hate it when you may have an old truck just sitting and then some vandal thinks they can take or break whatever they want...that’s abuse! And I do love it when you can use the old parts or even restore the old trucks! That’s the purpose of junkyards. Thanks for doing your part in saving truck history! It’s cheaper than buying all the old unwanted stuff.
that autocar could still be saved if someone had the money. I like the rare factory air conditioning in that Mack, its engine looks to be mostly there and it looks to be a Mack power plant from the markings
I've been towed by them twice in the past, this is only 20 miles north of where I live. I wasn't towed by either of the trucks you show in this vid, but you said part two, and I'm not finding part one. Can you link part one plz?
That Mack was nice. I really admire the orange and red striped paint. And the back tires look like old Goodyears from the 70s. So this was a huge loss.
Truck is probably still in Adams. It was supposed to be in the auction but was pushed into the far back corner of the property. Doubt it sold. Congrats on your new project.
They are getting to be pretty rare my dad's friend inherited a collection of old truck parts from his parents when they died to bad he sold all of the parts for scrap there was a lot of Duplex parts and radiators for old trucks transmissions and real hard to find parts
I seen a video on RUclips at a redi mix plant I believe in new York they have a large fleet of brockways cement mixer trucks with decent cabs nots scavenged pretty much in tack alone with some autocars it's ashamed to see all them just sitting there it would be nice if they would sell them a lot of them could be restored and what's left could be recycled
Too many people these old trucks are simply tools to be used and then replaced once they have served their purpose. That's not my way of thinking at all!

I wish I could buy most of these old trucks but I settle for saving them through video. Thanks for watching.
@@Dailydieseldose315 thank u bro I feel the same way...

Where are those Autocar?
Are you sure that's a U model? that old dog looks more like a DM with those heavy rear axles.
What is left now? Still have the Diamond REOs? How does one get their hands on one of them? Porter Dude out....
Nothing but memories are left now.
Sad, hope they get rescued!
The sad part is if either of these trucks were restored they would probably never be used for a wrecker service.
I need the backing plates and S cams off that Autocar front axle...lol.

I saw an old FWD truck owned by a local well driller several years ago. Unfortunately, the owner tore off a lot of the parts. That sucked.

Okay. I will talk to Chuck the owner about you coming up to see it and make a video on it.

Long gone.

Phillip Garrow yeah, it’s just off 481 south of Syracuse.
A simpler type of towing,
Crying shame about those rigs. They both looked like they could have been saved at one point
Oh, sad pics... I pray for those! Nice clip anyway! ;-)
Hey friend
If you like autocar wreckers come up to my work at johns towing and check out our Autocar.
Yeah? The John's in Tonawanda? Or some other place?
Tonawanda
Cool. I'll drive up to take a look. Let me know when.
That's most dreadful!
Why in the hell do people do this? It makes me sick.
