They do have a certain something together which makes it compelling to watch them.
Not quite the right show for them. They are natural homebodies. In their element on Gogglebox they are sublimely funny. My favourites, apart from the Sidiquis.

Yes the witty Siddiquis are very relaxing company. Their magic is how they each appreciate the other, no belitting sarcasm. 😌😏🤭
They did not say that they didn't like them, just that being interviewed on a tv chat show is not really for them. Which I agree with. I also agree with you about them being great on gogglebox.

They are a really funny couple. Definately one of my favourites. I also think the dad with the rottweilers with the boys names is hillarious. I really liked the bit where he was telling the rest of the family how you whistle as they were discussing this and the dogs shot into the room when he did this and were all over him. He is funny too. I love this show. Its him and Mary and Giles and some others who make this show. ^j^

I'm an Aussie who absolutely LOVES the UK version more than our Aussie version.
I loved our Aussie version in the beginning. But as the years have rolled on, it's just mostly still the same people, watching the same crap, saying the same things over and over and over.
All while the voiceover is given far too much to say.
It's supposed to be about the Goggleboxers and what they think.
NOT the voiceover yapping on and on, and trying to set up the jokes where a Goggleboxer is added on to the end of the joke with a single randomly plucked word from them to finish the scripted jokes and set ups.
That style of show may as well be just another piece of scripted comedy crap.
I'd much rather hear 95-99% from the Goggleboxers THEMSELVES, their jokes, their thoughts on whatever they're watching, etc.
That was meant to be the point of Gogglebox in the first place. And why I love the UK version so much.

I have just found some stuff out and If you don't know it it is shocking and wonderful.
First off Giles is an amazing and very talented artist, I love his work but Mary was the real surprise, she is in the Punk film "Dead on Arrival", she was really involved in the punk scene I nearly fell off my chair when she came on the documentary about the film, Dead on arrival: The punk documentary that nearly never was. She is just the same lol, I love them

Especially the way Mary carries on and cries about the swearing, sex, porn and drug culture of today.
Then why didn’t Chatty Man bring that out? He dealt with the talk show well but I think Graham Norton would have done better and the celebs on Graham’s sofa would have asked questions too, as others are saying what does nutty mean?
