Congratulations, fellow convert! 😊 I was confirmed at Easter Vigil Mass 2015 after 50 years as an Evangelical Protestant. I am now married in the Church and have children to raise. @@DV-cq4dr that is awesome!! Welcome home! It is so rare for a JW to come out of it still believing in God. I remember when I picked up the Bible and wanted to know what it actually said and my sister looked at me like she wanted to barf. lol She is a Catholic today, thanks be to God.
I resonate a lot with this. I don't know the exact moment when I started to question the protestant church I was part of, but I became aware of certain issues and questions that would not leave me alone. A big turning point was the day I dropped into a catholic church on my way to my usual protestant church. I felt compelled to step into this church that day and it just so happens that a Sunday service was about to commence. I said I'd stay for 5 minutes then go to my usual church......I stayed for the entire service, I didn't want to leave. It was such a powerful and joyful experience. I think that was the day I realised I could no longer be a protestant. I went away after that and read and researched church history but that was just a reinforcement of what I knew, what God had already put in my heart. I'm not saying protestantism is a false religion, it has elements of truth. I liken it to a jigsaw puzzle, the protestant church has some of the pieces whereas the catholic church is the full picture.
I am so glad you enjoyed Kimberly’s testimony. That is so wonderful to hear how the Holy Spirit moved in your heart, and how beautiful the way that God continued to move in your heart during the Mass. I love your puzzle analogy. I have also thought about how Protestantism has a few pieces wedged into the wrong spots, but you never really notice until you stop to examine it, and then they become so obvious.

Wow that was very interesting. The intellectual struggle she went through nearly exactly parallels my own. The difference is that I am a high school dropout. She has the educational background which I lack. Much of my own journey was based upon history more than doctrine and in the end I became Eastern Orthodox. I completely identify with her. In the end I went to bed one night a good protestant. I woke up Catholic.
This is beautiful. Your journey is so similar to mine. I come from a Protestant background and read myself into the Church. 7 years now and I have never regretted. I feel so blessed to have discovered this jewel. I’m the only Catholic in my family as well.
I love how this conversion story included soul crushing battles in both the emotional and the intellectual theaters of spiritual warfare. On the emotional front, Kimberly struggled with scrupulosity. From personal experience I know how tormenting that cross can be. I tried to live a holy life but felt that every step I took in that direction actually moved me further away from God due to my imperfections and lack of pure intentions. For Kimberly, this caused her to jump into the intellectual pursuit for spiritual truth. The intellectual arena is where I began my journey. I too went through a Great Books program in college. I came out that thinking the emotions are just annoying urges in our bodies this way or that that are best ignored. A stoic life of good books was the highest form of life in my mind. It wasn't until my forty's or fifty's that I began to understand the importance of emotions to a healthy life. Similar to Kimberly, I didn't find a bedrock of peace within which to live until I integrated both the intellectual and the emotional into a blended whole of body and spirit. BTW, I'm a cradle catholic. Thanks for sharing your story, Kimberly.
I've listened to her talk about here emotional spiral like 10X at this point and it just cracks me up and excites me for faith every time. I love it. So good.

Hey Mark. I was cradle Catholic, drifted off into sin for 20 years, was encountered by Christ and became a disciple. I didn’t know whether Catholic or Protestant but started learning and trying to follow Him. Slowly becoming convinced Catholicism was unbiblical and became Evangelical for about three years. Then the logical inconsistencies started and I discovered the early Church Fathers and came back to the Catholic Church. All that to say discipleship and continuous conversion isn’t usually a straight line from Point A to Point B. Leaving the Church was part of the process of coming back and seeing it all for the first time. It sounds like your path is similar so don’t think because you USED to be something you can’t return by a different route. I would suggest only one book for you. Four Witnesses by Rod Bennett. It’s an easy to read introduction to four of the earliest converts to the Faith. They describe life as a first generation Christian and what they were taught and how they lived for Jesus.
Such a beautiful conversion story. I am a cradle Catholic, and for so long I took my faith for granted. It wasn't until I had to defend my faith, that I started to read, learn, listen, pray, and understand, what I was taught in my growing up years, was the true faith. I thank God for all the people who forced me to learn more about my faith, by questioning me.
Hi Kimberly..I'm a cradle Catholic from Malaysia. What a fascinating life journey and conversion story that you have. I pray that you will always firm and strong in faith. God bless you.🙏
"Don't impose a timetable on yourself for conversion." Probably the best insight I've heard on the process of conversion. It's based largely on the scriptural concept of God knowing our hearts. The Christian life is a process of traveling to the Father, to perfection. None of us ever achieves the end. There comes a point at which God says, "Enough, little one." And He picks us up and brings us to himself. It's always in God's time, not our own.
It’s so uplifting and amazing to hear so many young people converting to the Catholic Church! You inspire me to be a better Catholic and to be grateful for my faith given to me at birth. Thank you for your profound testimony, and may God bless you! Did you come into the Church this Easter Vigil?

Thank you this was so inspiring! I know many people at my Catholic center who have converted in college and Augustine is mentioned often among the Great Books/Honors kids as being a factor in their conversion. It's amazing how much God has used one dude from over a millennia ago to help so many people today. St. Augustine, ora pro nobis!

Thanks for sharing this beautiful testimony dear Kimberly...i really do appreciate the very extensive research you did to learn more about the faith, and how you helped out at the Q&A session on Mary:) hugs:)...i am a cradle Catholic but I continue reading Scott Hahn's books and listening to beautiful testimonies such as yours....
I liked this because I can relate to a couple of things here. To name just a few: at some point I attended a CMA church for some months, later I also attended a Protestant Church that was a bit similar to a Catholic one, but it was a Lutheran one, not an Anglican one, though it did rent an Anglican church for its services and I agree that studying theology is hard, exhausting.
What a wonderful story! Thank you for sharing your experience, I'm sure it will help others on their own journey. Welcome home! God Bless, from a cradle Catholic.
Love it! Researched your way to Catholicism. I have always thought that Catholicism is the doctorate of faiths. You have to have full intellectual and emotional maturity to grasp how profound and beautiful a gift from God it is.
Caritas means Charity in Latin which is derived from the adjective 'carus' meaning 'dear', It originally meant 'Christian love of your fellow human beings'.
I loved this!!! So relatable for me!!! I have OCD and anxiety. I've always been extremely deep into my faith. Lately I've felt the Lord pulling me towards Catholicism

The Catholic Church has everything, God knows/knew, most converts must do a long RCIA period to make sure they understaed and accept her teachings.... A Protestant can go from church to church to church each week. We Catholics are truly blessed to be of Christ's Church!
Kimberly I was amazed to hear your conversion story and the kind of research you did. Maybe you can help. Mine is a cradle catholic fly but along the way my brother has strayed and joined the church of Christ. He is very anti catholic and talks about sola scriptura. Recently been debating about Purgatory and as expected he says its a catholic invention and not in the Bible also saying the Catholic Church added 5 books. Can you help me with this. Will be very grateful. Thanks and God bless.
Hi Shirley, thanks for your comment. I am not sure if Kimberly is able to reply, but one resource I would recommend is the radio show Called to Communion with Dr. David Anders. He is a convert, and the show is devoted to these kinds of questions. You are welcome to call in to the show or write an email, or your brother is also certainly welcome to call in. At the very least, maybe he would enjoy listening to the show. There are also lots of wonderful Catholic resources online that can help you answer these questions. Catholic.com is one good one. In my own life, I will say that I have not had success debating my family into the faith. Prayer seems to go a lot further, and in fact, my video project was birthed out of prayer for those who are not Catholic. God bless.
if your brother asks you where the word "Purgatory " is in the Bible ,ask him to find the word" Bible " in the Bible . It is not there . Tell him that the Bible is a Catholic book .The church gave it to us around the 3rd century .
Protestants believe that the Bible is the word of God and there is nothing beyond it. But Catholics don't believe that the Bible is the word of God, We believe that JESUS IS THE WORD OF GOD, the Word that became flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus The Word of God became man and came down to earth and lived among us as a sign of his boundless love for man. Sola Scriptura means that there is nothing beyond the Bible, thus making it an idol. Therefore your brother is basically worshipping the Bible like an idol and not Jesus. Tell your brother that the Bible was written by humans and it was compiled by the Catholic Church. So the Bible that he is quoting to you was put together by the Catholic Church some 2000 years ago. What can his Johnny come lately, here today gone tomorrow organization teach you what your 2000 year old Catholic Church taught him.
I am raised to be devout Catholic since birth.. I love Jesus and Mama Mary..I am confused when Protestant and other religion says we are praying idols.
So what you're saying is that it was the Bible that made you Catholic. Not a bunch of so-called proof texts, but Scott Hahn's opening of the true meaning of Scripture to you. He showed you how to read it and you finally understood. God chose you, Kimberly, to be with him forever. You were chosen from the foundation of the world. Never doubt it. God bless.
she sounds like me. I have OCD and suffer from religious scrupulosity and unwanted blasphemous thoughts against the holy spirit and unwanted thoughts and unwanted compulsions to make vows I don't want to make and keep and this causes me severe fear and stress about god fearing he gonna expect me to keep a vow I did not want to make but felt forced against my will to
One of the factors in the moral downfall of our country, is that these great books are rarely taught to our young people anymore.Kimberly was moved by the medievals, especially Augustine, but everyone who aspires to a thinking life, or what Plato calls the “examined” life, should be exposed to all the great books of western civilization. Why this changed so drastically, within the space of one generation, I can’t say. But if I’d l own that my own children would not receive the same type of education I received in American public schools, I would have homeschooled.
Dear welcome to Eternity but kindly spend time in front of holy eucharistic adoration and kindly read about the eucharistic adoration at least 30 minutes
Old school Catholic maiden's of the light lead us to the light they were two types of Maidens back then they were called sisters the others were called maiden's of Christ now these maidens they were not nuns but they would help the nuns they were virgins maiden's of Christ the maiden's hollered to us you're going to get save today when the bishop comes to anoint with oil close your eyes tell Jesus you're sorry for yoursins and ask him to come into your heart we opened up our eyes and we were all weeping and that was the beginning of and 11-year Revival starting around 1957 and into the 60s.

No way would I ever join such an uneducated group.
Cradle Catholic here. I'm in good company.
Bright lady!
Fascinating intellectual journey. Her willingness to begin it, was the grace God gave her without pause until she was satiated by the Eucharist.
God bless her.
Amen!
@21:00 minute mark when it was suggested to her to use St Ignatius of Loyola's method of discernment was very powerful.
I also loved her experience with explaining ((defending?) Marian teaching at the student gathering of Catholics at her school.
Dominus Vobiscum
Yes, I loved that method of discernment as well. Powerful indeed.
Beautiful story. Welcome home
Such an uplifting interview. I'm going to the Church from Evangelicalism myself and the schism with my family is the hardest part. I also inundate myself with podcasts and videos for hours a day going on three years now and somehow I feel more content than ever and more hungry for more than ever. God bless Kimberly and her story!
Thanks for watching, Zane.
Please keep these conversion videos coming. It’s so blissful to listen to such experiences, especially when everywhere I look on the internet Protestants are constantly attacking Catholics.
So glad you enjoyed! Hoping to post a new video soon.
GOD bless you Kimberly always, all of you in the family, too! Welcome home! Rejoice, I say again, rejoice! There may be struggles but they are there to test your mettle and will bring you closer to The LORD!
Amen!
God bless.
This was hilarious in the best possible way! What a story!Kimberly helped me put together some pieces about the Papacy together that hadn't landed right before.
Please write this in a book. I liked the way you explained the Q&A event. That's my weakness too.
So honest and logical, thanks for this testimony Kimberly, you are a gift for many, May God bless you
Peace be with you all. I love your story...and like this podcaster. Just Subscribed.
Thanks for watching and subscribing! It means a lot. More videos will be coming in January. Stay tuned!
Kimberly, have you ever considered going into RCIA again - this time as a mentor. You would do such a marvellous ministry there. God Bless. Mary.
Good evening I'm proud to be a roman catholik rilligion from the pillipines.
Welcome sister to the Catholic faith, the true church founded by Jesus Christ
Thanks for sharing this beautiful testimony dear Kimberly...i really do appreciate the very extensive research you did to learn more about the faith, and how you helped out at the Q&A session on Mary:) hugs:)...i am a cradle Catholic but I continue reading Scott Hahn's books and listening to beautiful testimonies such as yours....
Thanks so much for watching, Oliveta!
Thank you for such a wonderful conversion story.WELCOME home with God^s Grace and Blessings. .
I love hearing these. So inspiring.
More to come soon! Thanks for watching.
Yes. The truth will make us happy and peaceful
So true! Thanks for watching.
What a wonderful story!
Thank you for sharing your experience, I'm sure it will help others on their own journey. Welcome home! God Bless, from a cradle Catholic.
Ave Maria!
Love it! Researched your way to Catholicism. I have always thought that Catholicism is the doctorate of faiths. You have to have full intellectual and emotional maturity to grasp how profound and beautiful a gift from God it is.
It is such a good point not to be rushed. Everyone’s different.
I draw so much inspiration from your interviews. Thanks
That is so kind! Thanks for watching and for your encouraging comment.
Twice I listened to this. Thank you.
Thanks for watching! I’m so glad to hear it was a (double) blessing to you.
Caritas means Charity in Latin which is derived from the adjective 'carus' meaning 'dear', It originally meant 'Christian love of your fellow human beings'.
Wow, what a thoughtful young lady, welcome home Kimberly! 🙏🙏🙏😇
Welcome home!
I felt it...awesome story.
Thanks for watching!
welcome home!!!
Girl!!! Yesss! I have OCD too and scrupulosity!!!!

I love conversion stories from various YT contributors. This is one of the best. Great job.
I agree, she did a great job. I was impressed how articulate she was in sharing her story. I’m glad you enjoyed her story.
I loved this!!! So relatable for me!!! I have OCD and anxiety. I've always been extremely deep into my faith. Lately I've felt the Lord pulling me towards Catholicism
Blessings to you on your journey, Miriana!
I have OCD and suffer from religious scrupulosity
God bless this beautiful young lady! May our Lord Jesus Christ give you all the graces on your Catholic Journey!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I've only just come across this video. I am so blessed to hear your conversion story. I'm a cradle Catholic, and I love listening to conversion stories. Welcome home.
Glad you enjoyed Kimberly's story! Thanks for watching.
If only current catholics would study our catholic faith seriously we will appreciate the church Christ has build.
Thanks for sharing your testimony and for the encouragement!!
Welcome home!^_^
Great interview and great testimony!
I know this is an old video ,but I have the same religious disorder. I don't hear many people talk about it. Thank you!
I still think about this conversation with Kimberly. Glad it was helpful for you!
God bless you sister
So wise to advise people to not rush in but wait on God’s timing 👌🏻.
I clicked on this video b/c we have the same fireplace as Kimberlee. We also live in Oregon 🌲
Thanks Kimberly !
I'm glad you enjoyed Kimberly's testimony. Thanks for watching!
THANK U KIMBERLY! I AM VERY PLEASED 😊 TO LISTEN AGAIN TO SUCH SMART TWO FRIENDS. AND WHILE LISTENING TO YOUR VERY INTERESTING CONVERSION STORY, I ASKED GOD HOLY SPIRIT TO HELP ME TO SAY SOMETHING, AND IMMEDIATLEY A STRONG THOUGHT CAME TO MY MIND REALLY, NAMELY, HOW CHILD JESUS (12 YEARS) AMAZED HIS LISTENRES AT THE TEMPLE BY HIS UNDERSTAND, etc. (LUKE 2: 46-47). AND I AM THAT MUCH INTERESTING DEEPLY OF YOUR FAITH & INTILIGENCE AS WELL (WoW!
ALSO, YOUR FRIEND MEGHAN IS IN MY DAILY PRAYER LIST, I AM SO PROUD OF HER MISSION & I'LL INCLUDE YOU IN MY DAILY PRAYERS AS WELL, AMEN. MAY THE LORD BLESS U ABUNDANTLY. By Saba Korial, and I was born in Middle East, now A Christian CATHOLIC & Canadian.
Thank you so much, Mary, for your kind comment for Kimberly and your prayers for us both. Your prayers mean the world to me, especially during a very busy season for our family. God bless you.
Hi Mary! God Bless You!
Welcome home Kimberlee 🙏🙏🙏
Kimberly I love that “to whom would we go!”
The Catholic Church has everything, God knows/knew, most converts must do a long RCIA period to make sure they understaed and accept her teachings.... A Protestant can go from church to church to church each week. We Catholics are truly blessed to be of Christ's Church!
bless you for taking your journey into your hands
Thanks for sharing your testimony!
God bless.
Thanks for your response. God bless and keep up the good works.
if your brother asks you where the word "Purgatory " is in the Bible ,ask him to find the word" Bible " in the Bible . It is not there . Tell him that the Bible is a Catholic book .The church gave it to us around the 3rd century .
@@truthhurtsalways4u Great point!
Welcome to the Faith!
God bless you sister.. Welcome home 🏠 to the Catholic church who founded Jesus Christ 🙏
Thanks for watching!
What a beautiful intellectual testimony.
God bless.
wow.
love this - totally amazing
Thanks for watching!
I heard Malaysia, and I stayed for the rest of the interview😂
she sounds like me. I have OCD and suffer from religious scrupulosity and unwanted blasphemous thoughts against the holy spirit and unwanted thoughts and unwanted compulsions to make vows I don't want to make and keep and this causes me severe fear and stress about god fearing he gonna expect me to keep a vow I did not want to make but felt forced against my will to
But. I substituted secular media; Netflix et al. with podcasts such as these.
Just kidding. I understand your predicament, Kimberly. God Bless!!
Did you ever consider one of the Orthodox churches?
thank you, you answered that.
Awsome Spiritual journey, wellcome home. Blessed be your everyday.
Have you all read the Old Testament? Do you know how Jesus fulfilled all of the OT prophecies?
Dear welcome to Eternity but kindly spend time in front of holy eucharistic adoration and kindly read about the eucharistic adoration at least 30 minutes
John 6:47
If you here ‚Bethel‘, run!!!!
👍
In these last days, apostasy will increase!
By apostasy, what are you referring to?
@@FiledUnderFaith From Biblical evangelicalism to apostate Roman Catholicism. I might even use reprobate instead of apostate.
What was your first exposure to Catholicism?
@@FiledUnderFaith Age 8.
What was your experience?
