- I've always wanted a mantel to display my favourite decors but living in Malaysia, we don't need a fireplace, and a mantel without fireplace looks just like a shelf, so i made a faux fireplace instead. It's giving that vibe and not taking too much space as this is going to be in the tiny dining area. It helps brighten up the wall too so that's a bonus.
I must say i really love the rustic look of it, it looks rather realistic to me and give me warmth visually when the weather is chilly. I've never seen anyone made a faux fireplace this way so, please let me know what you think!

Beautiful! I may do this in my basement. It is old but dry and I want it to be cozy. I only wish you would pan out so I could see each project as it sits while you do it.

Absolutely brilliant! I wanted you to know I wrapped 2 gifts made up of sticks in the shape of a Christmas tree with a star on top. They said it was so beautiful and they would keep it as a "decoration." God has truly gifted you.
