    Priceless! Please show us how to ride up a steep hill with tons of rain ruts. How do you react if you accidentally land in a deep rut while riding uphill, trying to get out of it without crashing?

    I rode Oriflamme Canyon loop successfully on my T7, my first time ever off-road on a motorcycle. That place was rutted to hell with baby head sized rocks for the entire last downhill section. I give all the credit to your videos.

    Lesson on descending and climbing steep tight switchbacks? I believe that would be of interest to allot of Adventure riders. Thank you.

    Great info, and love the FXR gear. My first ADV was a Harley FXR (10.5” ground clearance, 1345cc, 520lbs dry). That thing still rocks Engineer Pass (CO, look it up). Easier on the KLR, though, even with the lower (8.5”) ground clearance.

    When i returned to riding after a multi-decade break of office work and running, I had no leg muscle control over the bike. So fearful of the front washing out I would ride crowding the bars out of fear (who wants to face plant in their 60s?). But, once you gain enough leg strength to keep your lower legs vertical and can squeeze, the rest falls into place. Trust the front, ride the rear.

    Just came from the Brett Tkacs video and he says the opposite like keep the clutch in, lean far back...who's right?

    • @SocalOffroadSchool
      @SocalOffroadSchool  3 месяца назад +1

      Only way to find out is to go and try. If I was you, I would NOT pull the clutch in and lean far back…

      @@SocalOffroadSchool Gotcha, did rocks on my CRF450L and my friend said the same thing as you, 2nd gear, leave the clutch and it worked a treat. Riding the 1200GS next week and we're hitting rocks so I was looking for a refresher. I live near the sand, not a rock in site unless I ride 4hrs.

    You mention keeping the body in a "neutral" position. Would you please explain what that means, specifically?

    How to use rear brake hard with open cluch? Dont you think that will kill the engine? Tom

    • @SocalOffroadSchool
      @SocalOffroadSchool  Год назад +1

      Hey Tom, I keep my index finger on the clutch so if I need it, I can pull the clutch in quickly. You are also able to drag your rear brake without the bike stalling. Just have to be easy with your right foot.

    Standing on pegs with balls contact I can't reach the gear shifter with my toe. If I stand with arch or heel contact then I able to shift. Should I have to attach anything to the shifter?

    I do not find a lesson on riding deep sand. Real deep sand. Please what is your advise. I sense your style relies exclusivy on 'ball of feet & heels down with virtually no talk of buttocks way back ????

    • @SocalOffroadSchool
      @SocalOffroadSchool  Год назад +2

      We are filming sand videos next week and go over the technique. We don’t talk about the hips/butt far back because it’s not a good position to be in. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
