    I read somewhere that in Oblivion, Martin septim is the actual main character, not the player. Imo that makes it a little bit cooler that you're in the place of someone helping said main character

    • @FauxReal.
      @FauxReal. 15 дней назад +19

      I think they were both main characters, Martin would have died in kvatch if the Hero of kvatch didn’t go in and stop the siege, cyrodiil would have been a pile of rubble if Martin didn’t turn into Akatosh and fight mehrunes Dagon

    • @korgclips868
      @korgclips868 15 дней назад +15

      Martin Septim is the Akatosh/Anuic side of the main character while the Champion is the Padomeic/Shezzar side of the main character, interacting with eachother to create the Grey Maybe of the Aurbis/This game to ultimately create everlasting change in all of Mundus;
      In martin’s case he literally becomes an aspect of Akatosh to recreate the liminal barrier stronger than ever before and in the Champions case he disappears from the Dream (Aurbis) and literally becomes Sheogorath (The ultimate embodiment of change) and like shezzar remains in every mortal soul just like Shezzar disappearing to become the Spirit of Men’s undertaking.
      Not to mention that sheogorath is already heavily Padomeic, and in a lot of sources attribute him as Lorkhans Sundered Divine spark, and it isn’t a stretch as many other Daedra were created from the Sundering Of Lorkhan Nocturnal being one example; Namira the prince of corruption was literally the darkness in Lorkhans Heart b4 it was ripped out and became the Namira we Know today (Khajjiti Mythology)
      Ultimately Martin and the champion were two sides of the same coin similar to Anu & Padomey, one would not have succeeded without the other; The Champion is kind of forgotten (Like Shezzar) but ultimately it’s the champions presence and deeds that helps people reflect the significance in contrast to Martins Deeds; just how Anu uses Padomey as a way to distinguish himself & ponder it’s significance.
      In the end, the two are removed from the dream in some manner just like Auriel & Lorkhan after the Dawn Wars and in that end everlasting change is brought to the world and the fundamentals of the Universe Itself; The only difference is that their end results are in opposite order.
      Martin dies first opposed to Lorkhan dying first, the Champion’s consciousness remains semi intact after becoming a god opposed to Lorkhan who was shattered/Consciousness lost with Martin taking that place being lost/absorbed into Akatosh and
      who’s ultimate death would re-stabilize the world by reinforcing the Liminal barrier;
      just like Lorkhan who’s ultimate death would stabilize the earth bones and allow Mundus to become what it is today.
      Sorry for length, there was quite a bit of info to cover and i only showed some of it to cut down on length

      @korgclips868 15 дней назад +4

      Sidenote, i find it Kind of Beautiful How Dagon is attributed as The Destroyer of the last world (Lyg) Come to do the same thing as before, at one point the being known as Akatosh (Back then known as Auriel) at a time wouldn’t have contested to Mehrune’s ambition to destroy Mundus, he probably would’ve welcomed it alongside the other Et’ada, waging a literal war against The One who tricked him into it’s initial creation.
      Auriel slowly evolves and becomes the Akatosh we know now, in that time of the Worlds initial creation to present day he was once a god who despised creation and wished for its end to becoming a God that will do everything in his power to maintain the existence of that creation
      He may have despised being tricked into the Creation of Mundus but in that time has grown to appreciate it’s significance… at least for now *Cough* *Cough* (Alduin not being absorbed by the Last Dragonborn)

    Would be better if it were in the right order
    Also to me at least I find it always super interesting what happened with the protagonists AFTER the game.
    Its kind of important to note that the hero of kvatch became sheogorath, since it doesnt just have a local effect like becomming the leader of the mage guild, but a global one and for all other future games.
    Good video!

      What makes it any more important than the other big DLC, Knights of the Nine? Those two questlines are not very compatible. It makes no sense for the DIVINE Crusader to help a Daedric Prince, especially when the Greymarch doesn't threaten Tamriel itself.

    • @coolboy9979

      @@Aewon84 Thats the issue with open worlds like Elder scrolls, since you can play anything in your order, but Knights of the Nine came before shivering isles and I assume it should be played before it, but its clearly been stated that you become sheogorath by Jyggalag
      In the world itself the defeat of Umaril was definetely more important , but I meant it more like more important as a meta knowledge (and personal prefrence for what is more important to me :P), since every future depiction of sheogorath is the hero of kvatch.

    Whilst this was not EVERY elder scrolls hero, awesome video man. I have been a fanatic since Arena and thought this was very intuitive. There should have been:
    The Apprentice (Battlespire)
    Cyrus (Redgaurd)
    The Vestige (Elder Scrolls Online)
    The Forgotten Hero (Legends)
    Warrior (Blades), and the heroes of the travels series;
    Master Tunnel Rat (Stormhold)
    Hero of Dawnstar (Dawnstar)
    Soul of Conflict (Shadowkey) - Probably one of the most interesting ones!
    But of course thats only for us massive nerds and 99% of the viewers are only interested in Skyrim, maybe Oblivion and Morrowind at a push. None the less great work :)
