Sometimes you can see you are loved by your parents
Should you rebel you can see a severe strict and show the hard truth which comes from love ❤️ it’s not always easy loving someone

❤thank you…I was a Strick teacher and was told by others to lighten up……. I had to quit teaching because of the nosence that went on in the school system. The school system in the young teachers Are too lenient with the kids and then they want to know why the kids are failing. Need, I say more… Our children don’t even know how to write their name they print everything. They have no idea how to add and subtract…. It is painful and it is pitiful. I pray to God that the world changers.

All very good verses however could you please reconcile those with Psalm 137:9 and Isaiah 13:16. If dashing infants heads against a rock isn't angry, severe and punishing, then what is? He wants you to fear him, even requires it. Sugarcoating the truth isn't helpful.
But how do we explain:
In Exodus 32:27, we read:
27 Then he said to them, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel,
says: ‘Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth
through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother
and friend and neighbor.”
Or in 1 Samuel 15:2-3, we read:
“Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did
to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from
Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they
have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and
suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
And there are dozens of other passages
I think a better word is ‘focus’. The TEN commandments are the guide. The 10 puts our focus on God. The 10 helps us serve others. The Jewish people turned the 10 commandments into over 600 laws.. God gave Moses 10. Jesus said he did not come to change the 10. Every time we veer from the 10, we have a reason or excuse. God will be judging those reasons and excuses…
Those reasons and excuses will bind us in purgatory. The devil does not want us in Heaven, and doesn’t care if we are in hell.
I can only imagine what humanity would be like if our loving heavenly Father didn't discipline his children when necessary. The fact that he does, proves he loves us! God Bless you Fr. Mark!

(Proverbs 3:12) For whom the LORD loveth He correctth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
A lot like children (who become adults) whose parents didn’t discipline them as they should have.
I’m a teacher with 440 different students every week. This sermon really helped me to understand why and how I do what I do with so many students of different ages and places in their path of life. I do have to mimic my moms tough love sometimes and sometimes I don’t. 🙏🕊

Fr. Mark, the private revelation that opened my eyes about God's mercy is something I've learned less than 2 weeks ago. It comes from an Italian mystic, Edvige Carboni, who says that WW2 dictator, Mussolini, begged her for prayers and masses to be offered for 2 years, and is now in heaven. I was stunned! You never know what truly is in someone's heart and more importantly, the depth of God's mercy. God bless.🙏🙏

As a parent I sometimes had to discipline my children , I did it for the love of them. God is my Father and I am his child. Times I need discipline from The Lord for my sake.
I think that all eternity will not be enough to understand God ' s mercy.
Fr. Mark, your homily brings clarity to my heart and soul! I'm so grateful knowing that our Blessed Mother can be loving yet strict with her children bc that's how mothers are! Our Father in heaven is also loving and strict bc He doesn't want us choosing the infernal fire of the damned. He gave us our Guardian Angels to light and guard and to rule and guide us. Amen 🙏

I discovered it by reading the bible daily, listening to maria valtorta, and with the books of Luisa picarreta, especially in the books of heaven and the 24 hours of the passion. Finally in a crucifix, just look at him, what he did for each one of us.

I read the revelations of Madre Eugenia at the begining ot my conversion and that changed my vision of the Father. Since then I see Him like He is: love. And He is asking for our love too.

Plenty of threats of evil celestial punishment in todays sermon dear friends ..the church loves this stuff to keep you in line...I do believe in ethical conduct..not all the inhumane stuff the church trots out with zero evidence (other than the bible said so)
They did in Ecuador though,I was teac hing with Mary. And El Collegio Iberoamericano Bilingue de San Agustin,the nteacghers voted her "La reina del colegio." But she flunked alot of students. I was easier. I nevr flunked any of them,and I raisewd their grades back up.
I've been Catholic my whole life. But I never fully understood the depth of God's unconditional merciful love until recently. I realized I can't earn God's love, I can only respond to it. A very different way of thinking, and living. God bless.

This is a great Holy Sermon. Reminded me of an analogy drawn by another priest (Fr. Ripperger) not long ago: When a child’s parents forbid him to play in the steet bc of traffic and a child disobeys and runs into the street, the child forfeits the parents protection by disobedience and is exposed to the temporal effects of forfeiting protection - namely: potentially getting hit by car. To build on Fr. Goring’s preaching: what if a parent tells a child not to play in the street and a child says “no, I’m playing in the street anyway!” Should the parent let the child do what he wants? Of course not, but when the parent grabs the child and pulls him out of the street or forbids him from going outside for that remark, society might say (seeing only the discipline but not the disobedience) “that parent is mean or abusive or judgemental”. In this case the parent is right and society is disordered. The same applies to serious sin, only more so. Fr. Goring is right on.

Forgvenesss is an emotion comes from a pure heart but not from a split of tongue of pretending to be your a good man.don't say you forgive if it from our split mouth but forgiveness takes time to give it .every pain has its own level,it is depends on how much pain struck in a heart of innocent victim.a forgiveness ain't come from month but from a heart who is willing to accept it depends on abuse of experience from a culprit.I think its a healing of soul by matter of e time not by force of forgiveness.
