I think the voltage divider R5-R6 feedback should be 9k-1k respectively so that the setting voltage 2V/3V will output 20V/30V ... thank you for your video .. the thought process is very smooth .. thank you very much for the very wonderful presentation

Nice job. I've made a buck converter myself but went straight to circuit design and physical PCB skipping the simulation (I've made a video of it if you like to check it out.) It's nice to compare the signals, particularly for the ESR. There are some differences too: I used a p channel MOSFET and an op amp for feedback.
I don't get why the simulation shows an overshot at startup. I'm referring to the beginning when the MOSFET is just driven by the PWM voltage source. It seems there is a significant LC resonance, that should be at 1590Hz, while the PWM frequency is 10KHz ... 🤔
    Greetings from the Alps.
P.s. I'll put a link in the description of my video to this one as correlated.

Hysteresis by resistor won't work unless the 3V ref point has some source resistance. Your 10K/1K divider is 1/11th, not 1/10th. That explains your dc error. Finally, the feedback network should have intentional poles and zero to have phase margin and no oscillation.

I've just found this video and was about to comment exactly the same. The 11 ratio explains everything about the feedback errors.

yes that is the reason behind the fake steady state error.

sorry but how should we provide 5v (as v2 in this schematic) for comparator supply from the only source which we have (input) in real circuit applications?

    • @ashutoshchakravarty2669

      kindly ground the other end

      @@ashutoshchakravarty2669 which end?
in this schematic, comparator supply pin is not grounded, it is pulled up to 5v.
my question is how to provide this 5v out of the only source which we have (input source)?
