Wonderful bucket list right there 😅It's one of the most thorough and impressive food cultures around, in my humble opinion. I have eaten so many great things in Korea, and yet there is still so much more to try 😑

Cold noodles are actually a winter dish traditionally because they used the dongchimi broth that froze during winter to make the dish! (Before electricity was a thing). So you’re doing it right!!

Oh man , I gasped when I saw that palace. I was there in 2004. I'm Korean American and was born n raised there til I was 13. I have an illness so I can't travel.. my husband wanted to see korea so badly but tragically, he passed away suddenly last yr... I miss him and my home country so much... It's good to see u like Korean food n culture. I love kpop too but if I'm healthy enough to visit, if that ever happens, I wanna go see Korean Symphony as classical music is my favorite.

I know absolutely nothing about South Korea. I only know that kpop is connected to it because of my friends who are massive fans and they sometimes get me to listen to it. I find these videos super helpful as I can get a bit of an insight on what this country has to offer!! It’s so beautiful. The food, the music, the fashion, the language, and the rich culture. Wow.

이번 겨울이 유독 추웠던 날이 많았던지라, 한국 와 있을때 날씨가 너무 춥진 않았는지 궁금하네요. 메가커피고 붕어빵이고 편의점 음식이고 다들 흔한 음식인데, 먹는걸 보면 왜 이리 맛있어보이는지ㅋㅋㅋ 점점 영상에 빠져드네요. 앞으로도 좋은 영상 기대하겠습니다🎉🎉

I know several friends who had a similar experience - so much time spent visiting family that the "travel" part almost gets lost 😅 hope you get to go back and go to town on some wonderful food and sites and culture! 🙂

Search for a franchise bakery or cafe that opens early near you. Paris Baguette, Tous le Jours, Starbucks, Coffeebean…all open at 8ish or earlier. Where you are, there is Korea Press Center and in there you can find starbucks that opens at 7 or earlier, and there are also many other cafes like Paul Bassett that open early cuz Gwanghwamun is mostly work district. (If thats where ur place is but if not, ah well 😊)

it's been extremely cold lately but good to see you still had fun. I would recommend you to visit Korea around April~June, September~October. The weather seems to be the best around those times :)

I feel you. I feel so spoiled by people and lots of things to eat and do offered whenever I am there. Never had enough time to do all and always thinking of the next visit. I am so wanting to go back to experience all that again.
We recently came back from Korea on December 27 i think. Lived there with my husband for about a year and we came back to birth our son. I’m from Canada as well. Definitely miss it there. 😊
I love both Canada and Korea (Montreal and Seoul are basically my favorite cities 😁). Glad you got to spend a year here and hope you can come back one day! Best of health to your family.
