Nothing wrong here, just privileged USN balance decisions. Being a little more serious for a moment, Illinois isn’t even in the top 10 most broken USN ships. It’s annoying as an HE spammer, but it’s not game-breaking like the hybrid BB line, which can spot for itself and its team and erase DDs in one drop.

I kinda wish it was a tier higher with a 6 second reload instead of a 7 second reload and the actual historical proposal's cruiser style superstructure with sixteen 5"/54 secondary mounts as opposed to the ten 5"/38 on Illinois in game. That way it could be a ridiculous primary and secondary HE spammer.
I've just calulated the shells per minute this thing can pump out. So -30% from arms race + -20% from Halsey Implacable talent + adrenaline rush. This can bring you down from 9 to 3 seconds. So you're spitting 240 203mm shells every minute. And you know why this isn't hated and Annapolis is? Because HiStOriCkAL aCkuRaCy!

I was in a match with 1 of these ships and she held the left flank of our team all of her alone and was the last ship to die in our team when we lost the match, also guess which ship was in 1st position in our team aswell.😀
Never thought to see a battleship with heavy cruiser-calibre main gun in WoWS. Stuffs like this can only be found in games that allow for full ship customizations like Warship Gunner 2, so seeing this BB/CA hybrid in this game is a surprise. Then again, Wargaming already threw in aviation battleships, so it's only a matter of time before we see more hybrid-type warships in the future.

Technically the submarine citadel would be accurate because the quad autoloading 203mms would have apparently been heavier than the regular turrets
