5 years and passed waist length. I wear my hair out at least 1 week per month. I believe in 3 strand twists at this point. Tail bone length 2020 is really close. My husband loves my natural hair. #blessit
@@ObaaYaaJones yes thank you. . My husband tells me this every day lol especially bc I started late as a natural but my hair is healthy like 25 year old. Lol I'm high porosity medium density
Yes, your tips would be great. I am high porosity and I don’t see too many high po people with that kind of length so its always great to hear from people who achieve this.
First of all, I am in love with your personality! Second, I feel like I'm having a chill and chat session everytime I watch your videos! I love your smile and I love your advice and content! Thanks so much for your hard work!
Thank u sooo much. I have SUPER FINE hair (one strand almost invisible to naked eye), yet it's very dense. My hair is 4a and curly kinky. I've been learning my hair, but my ends keep drying out and getting damaged. I'm doing all the natural moisturizing, including henna and Clay's. My hair grows beautiful from the scalp, but I keep having to cut my ends. JUST YESTERDAY I FINALLY REALIZED THAT A TWA, OUT IN THE AIR DAILY, IS NOT A PROTECTIVE STYLE FOR MY FINE STRANDS!!!!! Yaa, my dear, u stated the problem for me. I've been doing too much crap to my hair. Been trying too hard and doing too much so instead of long locks, my TWA STAYS A TWA!🤔😂🤣😫. I thought as long as I moisturize daily, my hair should thrive. I FORGOT THAT WHEN MY HAIR GREW TO BRA STRAP LENGTH IN TWO YEARS, I HAD IT IN BRAIDS THE WHOLE TIME! Duh... This natural hair thing is tricky, especially 4 fine heads. U are also right about everyone's hair being different. I've seen many grow TWAs long on RUclips and seemingly they wear their TWA out daily and not change the style. I obviously cant do that. I've been so frustrated about my hair not growing long. I do think your channel is good for me. You already pinpointed one MAJOR problem. You stating that u are going to keep your hair in the current style for some weeks is exactly the kind of thing I MUST DO ALSO. PS: Luv your beautiful smile and that u smile throughout your videos - We need that positivity!!
Your coment put a big smile on my face. Thanks so much and I'm glad I this video could help you. You are on the right path by learning and understanding your hair. I'm sure you'll reach your goal length as you have discovered what works for your hair!
Also I love what you said about color treated hair, I’m color treated and am currently growing my hair out. I wash and condition my hair constantly, way more than the average natural because my hair is fine and colored which means I have to give my hair extra love and care.
Thank you! Yes I trim my hair myself. I don't have a fixed time for trimming. I do it whenever I feel like my ends are rough and start tangling up easily.
Y'all keep saying fine hair breaks easy but I don't find that to be true. For me. My Hair break easy if I go a long time with out Hair grease but it do break. So easy it's very cotton soft and very curly and water it my best friend beside my grease so breakimg is not a problem and I have fine hair. So soft like cotton and a good wash and mosterrize will work like magic on my hair I use water on my hair from a child growing up I knew wzyrt and grease is my best I've tried the oil but it's just not for me I don't like the way it makes my hair feels it feels dry. And I don't like that feeling for my hair
That's why I like to emphasis that, everyone's hair is diffrent and reacts differently to products. The best thing is to know what works for your kind of hair and stick with it. But if one is struggling (which you don't seem to be) getting tips here and there won't hurt.
@@ObaaYaaJones What do you think is the best moisture for our fine hair strands? (besides water) Although my hair is naturally soft it gets very dry after using water to shampooing or rinsing my deep conditioner out. Help me please sis tysm
How did you protect your hair when it was short twa? What protective style did you wear I'm struggling with that. I have a small fro but scared to get box braids because they braid to tight here lol
Obaa, you've got yourself a new sub. Great tips. Thank you! BTW, how do you maintain your protective style for 4 weeks? When I did a twist for 4 weeks, it was very dry and left me with no edges for some reason. I am now regrowing my edges. Please share how you maintain everyday with your twist for that long. Look for forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you very much!
Thanks for sunning and welcome to the family ❤ I moisturize weekly. If my hair is feeling extra dry, I wet it and seal in the moisture with aloe vera gel and olive oil. The key here is to make to sure keep your hair moisturised, and not letting it get to the point of dryness. Perhaps your style is too tight which would explain you loosing your edges.
Thank you for the feedback. I will ensure I moisturize and not let my hair dry. Combat dryness is the key, to prevent breakage. Got it. I appreciate you. 😊
