There is nowhere to use the briefcase for the next year. Gunther and Cody are going to be champion until atleast Wrestlemania probably longer than that. You'd have the Damien Priest situation all over again only this time you aren't having the wrestlemania cash in Damien had. Its better to eliminate the briefcase than have it sitting there for another year and have someone fail to cash it in months from now.
I so agree. I don't think the briefcase was mishandled at all. Theres NO WAY ANYBODY cashes in on Cody or Gunther when he wins the World Title.
My prediction: punk vs Seth vs Drew in a triple threat at SummerSlam. Hopefully it turns to be a cage match or hell in a cell.

Let's put ourselves in HHH's position, if Seth Rollins wins what happens to Damian Priest? Next of Drew McIntyre cashes in and wins then everything CM said in Glasgow was not true because Drew had to get screwed. Next if Jey Uso wins mitb what happens to the Bloodline storyline? LA Knight same thing? HHH thought about all the outcomes so I am okay with his decision. HHH and creative made the right call

I think the reason why is because cody isn’t loosing anytime soon and when gunther beats damien and beat him he’ll have a long regin so i get why it was the decision

Gunther is getting the title, its not intelligent to make a cash in so they used it to push the punk feud further, gunther isnt going to lose the title for a while, nor cody.

I do not feel sorry for Drew what soever because storyline wise. This all started with Drew Messing with punk instead of focusing on himself, he had to continually bury punk for no reason so he started this
I feel Drew strength is in ring work. Punk is on the mic. So why not play to those strength? Have Drew get the best of Punk in the ring because Punk will probably out shine him on the mic.

The screw up is such a bad look for Damien Priest but it can be recovered. Seth should have been be declared the winner which means that the cash in against Priest doesn't count since he's not the champ. The only legal match would have been Seth Rollins vs Drew McIntyre. The triple threat was not a legal use of the contract. Therefore the cash in is null and void. Damien is still champ but Seth gets a rematch. Winner faces Gunther. Drew still has the contract to cash in at any point in time. Contract law 101
