It was never explained how socially strict OP's and stepsis' parents were. My semi-educated guess would say that they might've been a bit more conservative. OP's claim that his first gf was in college might suggest this. Maybe she was scared that her conservative parents would find out and punish her, which she was afraid of. This doesn't justify her actions at all, but in our human survival instinct, she probably didn't think too far. Again, this doesn't justify her actions, but understanding every side of the story is crucial. But again, destroying your stepbro's life and image in this way just so you could keep the impression to your, even conservative, parents that you are still a virgin is despicable.

@user-lw6qc2js4g I understand, but even then, there has to be an investigation to prove those allegations. S.A. is serious, but false S.A allegations are serious as well. There is people who has lost all and even ended themselves after having their lifes and reputations destroyed for this, lose their jobs, their careers, and never completely recover from the trauma of being hated over nothing, not believed, and condemned, even if they are proved innocent, their names are sometimes uncleanable because there is people with rocks instead of a brain who doesn't understand how allegations work, innocent until proved otherwise, not the opposite way. Rumors are life destroyers.

You haven’t ever searched anything related to law, have you? First to start: for every single female domestic abuser there is, there are 3 male ones. This already makes a huge change the sTory, as it makes it much more likely he sa’d. Also, name how many men are falsely accused of sa compared to how many are rightfully accused. That’s what I thought, the ratio is awful. Also what reason does the dad have to believe his son? It doesn’t matter his relationship, that’s a HUGE allegation. Like my dad knows he raised me better but if I asked him if he could see me robbing someone, he would agree 10/10 times. That father is amazing for caring about his stepdaughter and even after all of this he still tried to apologize to his son even though he got the cold shoulder.

@@SenseiwumpSo just because of a numbers game you think that justifies going about this in the way it did? First of all the fact that in just a few weeks the son lost everthing to just the rumors alone shows that someone leaked information. That means in the time of the police potentially collecting evidence someone was already trying to make this public for the court of public opinion, I'm betting the step daughter.
Secondly considering the step daughter admitted she was lying in the short time shows that there was little evidence and she knew she couldn't keep her story straight when being questioned. Frankly I don't care what you have to say about how common SA is with men being the perpetrator, cause just off the basis that false accusations exist that right there proves that the stats can't be trusted.
Because this guy was lucky, what about the guys who still claim innocence but no one listened and no one admitted the truth. They are still in prison or dead. I sympathize with victims of SA but I will never forgo innocent till proven guilty for anything. To protect all parties this information should have been kept confidential until her claims were proven or disproven. This whole process went to shit because the brat wanted to ruin an innocent man's life for nothing. Her reasoning doesn't even make since.

He takes a suitcase and leaves but forgets his phone and his dad tracks him down and begs on his knees not to leave but the son said that after he called the police on him he was dead to him and he left with the dad curled up in an ball. She was caught by my uncle, and I thanked him profusely, I saw him as a hero for that small moment, but in return, he just gave me the harshest look, so I think he thought that was my idea. My uncle and her mother had a rough break up a year later, but before I never saw the mom and her daughter again, the mother came barging into our house, yelling at my parents and threatening to call the cops on me. I was supposed to be asleep but I heard it all. Idk if charges were made but well, I'm still okay. I asked my parents that I heard screams last night to dip my toes into the situation, and my parents just said "oh you know. Just drama between my uncle and the mother". I assume they wouldn't believe her. During this time, my relationship with my uncle was bad. I don't think he trusted me around my biological cousin. Over time tho, our relationship grew to the point where he welcomes me to his home with the biggest casual smile I ever seen. I didn't speak up about any of this btw. Still haven't, besides skimming through it and leaving out a buncha details with my best friend, like how she was the daughter of my ex-was-going-to-be-step-aunt, and that it was assault. I just told my friend that my boundaries were pushed to a breaking point. @@G1sandG1rlsGaming i think you got me wrong, of course you should look for evidence but what if there isn’t any proof?
maybe the sister faked some evidence, we dont know, as she ‘only’ would need to change her behavioral patterns and stuff like that and maybe provide a few texts.
the problem is, SA accusations are heavy shit and i think every decent human being would never think of even accusing somebody falsely of SA, thats why when sb does not have any evidence, you still believe them when they say they have been SA’d. also, telling others that you haven’t been SA’d is often a very hard thing to do, so of course if u have at least a little empathy, you’ll believe them (doesnt mean u should just believe everything without evidence). often the victims cannot even provide any evidence and of course you still believe them because like i said, who in their right mind lies about something like that?
but yeah, you are definitely right that this is the wrong way of thinking but REAL victims often cannot provide evidence and if we started to always need evidence we would barely believe any victims anymore and a lot of predators would run around freely. i still think though that you should believe the victim until proven otherwise

How did the step daughter not get in trouble with the law for this?

Screw the Dad, the step sister, and the people who are victim blaming.
Hopefully the son obtained some type of stability after having his future taken away just like that.

At least he had some remorse for what happened and tried to fix it and you were so upset that you couldn't see passed your own emotions. that you burnt a bridge.

YALL I’m sick of replying th8s but the dad ended it, stop disrespecting him because he lost his son and his trashy daughter and took himself, I kinda don’t like how the son hates his dad more than the one who ACTUALLY ruined his life and he made the dad end it 😢

This is the reason why I take SA accusations with skepticism. Before you ruin someone's life make sure it is true.

so he loves his son so much that it hurts, but not enough to atleast need evidence before locking his own son up (also why wasn't the daughter punished further than being slapped and sent away for ruining someone's life, make her go through court for defamation to be atleast close to fair)

I feel so sad for the dad like I get he made a mistake but have your son hate you so much is the painful thing you could ever experience it’s like hitting your heart over and over it hurts so so bad but I hope the son figures him😢😢
