The reason that there might be a name change is because this is their pre-debut project name. Project PINK PUNK was the pre-debut name for BLACKPINK. Also, it is known that when YG Entertainment registered trademarks that they had both BABYMONSTER and BAEMON. BAE has a couple of meanings like baby and "Before Anyone Else" and MON is used as an abbreviation for monster. This does a few things by changing the name. Yang Hyun Suk then is not a liar when he says BABYMONSTER will never be a 7 member group. Because YG is saying that BABYMONSTER that, he can play the bad guy and take the negativity away from the girls. When they were first introduced there was a lot of negativity saying that the girls are too young to debut but the sentiment changed since this series cameout. I think after seeing how hard these girls have worked to get to this point people start to understand that holding them back from their dreams doesn't make sense. The group will stay 7 members under the name BAEMON. BAEMON makes more sense as the name for the group since they won't be babies in five years and long term the name for the group is better. Ths is also a good way to show how YG does their trainee program. Jennie mentions it in "Light Up the Sky" documentary when they monthly have to do a group song, a group dance, and a solo performance. So they do this every month until this final evaluation when they decide if they will debut the group. Rememer, that they had 2 trainee projects one being FUTURE 2NE1 and PINK PUNK. FUTURE 2NE1 trainees never got to debut. So if you look at it as a documentary for the journey of the BABYMONSTER trainees then it makes sense. This is only theories but the one thing is that YG can also change his mind about his statement of BABYMONSTER not being a seven member group and debut them as BABYMONSTER but in the past YGE usually doesn't debut their groups with the project/pre-debut name. But on the official BABYMONSTER Instagram they recently posted all seven members doing Jisoo's "Flower Dance Challenge" so I don't know if they did that to ease people's minds that they are a 7 member group. Since we all know that the "Last Evaluation" took place in April 2022, any recent media that shows the 7 members together gives us signs that they will debut as OT7. Sorry that the comment is so long but I think there is a lot of evidence toward a name change and reasons that they would do it. But I guess it doesn't really matter either way as long as they debut as OT7.

They have a RUclips channel, SNS accounts, all kinds of content all labelled under Babymonster so i don’t think they would change it after they already established the name like that publicly.
Pharita voice is beautiful and so unique, not only her voice is beautiful but,her visual is dammn😍 fit her voice Rora voice is so powerful, emotional, her performance is insane Asa is like..a full package! she can sing, rap, dance, writing songs, and got me goosebumps in this performance
This is the reason why many companies waited after 4 years of training and YG had to cut the kids out. In kpop training, YG is the best, the artist has quality, the disadvantage is that YG is rarely used.
Yup Asa got a very unique voice if she practice her singing it's really great to hear her in Kpop with that unique tone. I'm honestly impressed by all of them and it's hard to for me to be impress cuz I came from the Philippines 🤭🤣 but they are good and for sure they will grow more and more. 👀🤗
@@saskoreacts i think Chiquita can't be the main vocal as i don't think Babymonster will sing in english when they debut. So the main will be korean speaker . But i do think in this group they will be not specifically rank who is the main or lead....they will be announce as vocalist or rapper only.
Oh! About the name change, yes they already hinting that in some videos the most obvious one is the behind the scene ep 3. That name is already known for the last 1yr if you really follow this project for awhile. 🤭 It's like there nickname. 🤣
I mean a nickname is a nickname for a reason. I like Baemon as a nickname but as an official group name? Nah that sounds like a damn Poké- or Digimon, I really wouldn’t like that change. Also still don’t think it would make sense. They could’ve introduced them like that altogether, why establish a name and a brand with official channels and everything only to rename it a few months after? Makes no sense at all from a marketing pov
I love how we’re so nervous when they released the final evaluation teaser #1 LOL but after all the eps and behind the scenes its just really watching them showcasing their insane talentsssss. Also everyday fans can see them in and out in the YG bldg 😂 YG didnt saw this coming HAHAHAHAHA
