Vertical gardening is a great way to grow a lot of food in a small amount of space. I love using my GreenStalk planter to grow lettuce, kale and herbs, but it can also be used for larger plants like tomatoes, peppers, zucchini and so much more!

This looks really cool! Do the plants not get too cramped or anything in there though?

That was definitely a concern of mine when I first got it. I haven’t had an issue but I tend to pick plants that are more compact in size. You can always leave plant slots empty to give something that might get larger some extra space. My new apartment balcony doesn’t receive any direct sunlight so I’ll only be experimenting with greens and herbs this year, but last year I was able to do peas, cayenne peppers, micro dwarf tomatoes, eggplant and sugar baby watermelons
